Installing the application

Attention: The Yandex.Disk app only supports Android version 1.5 or above.

To download the Yandex.Disk mobile app for Android, go to the downloads page or Google Play on you mobile device. If neither of these methods work, try one of the following download options .

You can have several accounts at the same time and switch between them. To add an account, go to settings, click the Exit button and log in using another account. To delete an account, go to settings, click the Exit button, swipe the account name to the left and click Delete.

Managing files and folders

Note: To update, pull the list of files and folders down. The app status will change to "Updating" as the new data is retrieved.

You can use the Android app to upload and download files and edit photos. More information about managing files and folders can be found in the Android section.

Photo and video auto-uploads

You can automatically upload photos to Disk, along with video files from the "Gallery" app and store them in "Camera Uploads" or any other folder on Disk. A window asking if you would like to set up auto-uploads will be displayed the first time you open the app. Information about setting up auto-uploading can be found in the Configuring photo and video auto-uploads section.

Screenshots will be stored in the "Without Creation Date" section in the "Camera Uploads" folder.

Restriction: If files are not uploading automatically, make sure they are in one the following folders (on the device or storage card):
  • \Images
  • \DCIM
  • \DCIM\Camera
  • \DCIM\Photo
  • \DCIM\Video
  • \DCIM\100MEDIA\
  • \storage\extSdCard\dcim\Camera

Offline mode

To access files without an internet connection, add them to the Offline section. Files will be downloaded to your mobile device. If you then change these files, they will be automatically synchronized with the Offline versions when you connect to the Internet.

If the device is not connected to the internet, you will not be able to access files and folders saved to Offline in the general file list. These files and folders will only be available in a special section:
