Deleting files
To delete unnecessary files or folders from Yandex.Disk:
- Select and tap.
- Once you confirm the deletion, all selected files are moved to the Trash.
Files deleted from Yandex.Disk end up in the Trash and still take up space on your Yandex.Disk. They will be automatically deleted in 30 days. To free up space, empty the Trash manually.
Restore deleted files and folders from the Trash
While files and folders are in the Trash, you can restore them:
- In the bottom row, tap Files and then select Trash in the upper row.
- Select the files or folders and tap Restore tap the
icon. The selected files and folders will be restored in the directory from which they were deleted.
Attention. If the files were deleted from the Trash, it is technically impossible to restore them.
Empty the Trash
There are two ways to empty the Trash:
- In the bottom row, tap Files and then select Trash in the upper row.
- In the bottom row, tap Empty Trash.
- In the bottom row, tap Files and then select Trash in the upper row.
- Select the files you want to delete from the Trash.

Attention. When you empty the Trash, the files in it are deleted forever.
Clear your Yandex.Disk
If you need to clear your Yandex.Disk completely, select all folders and files, delete them, and then empty the Trash.
Attention. If you clear your Yandex.Disk, you won't be able to restore the deleted files.
