Creating ads
You can add video ads to Text & Image Ads or Ads for mobile apps campaigns.
- Step 1. Go to the campaign creation page and set parameters

Click Add campaign and select Text & Image Ads in the list.
Enter the campaign name. Set the campaign start and end dates. If you want to serve ads at a specific time, configure time targeting.
Select an ad strategy. To set your own bids, select a manual bid management strategy. You can enter a bid on the page of an earlier created campaign in the Bids for entire campaign field.
Some of the information will be filled in automatically. Check it and change it as necessary. More about main ad campaign parameters.
- Step 2. Create an ad group and set up the targeting criteria
- Note. Targeting criteria are configured for an entire ad group (for all the ads in the group).
Choose the display region for your ads.
When serving ads on networks, the system automatically selects ads that have keywords which match the subject matter of the site or the interests of a user. If you have a Yandex.Metrica tag or a Yandex.Audience segment, you can add a retargeting list.
Configure bid adjustments as necessary. For instance, you can increase your bid for video ads on mobile devices.
- Step 3. Select the ad type and add a creative

On the ad creation page, select the Video ad type.
Design a creative using Ad Builder or add a previously created one. You can only add one creative per ad.
- Step 4. Enter your contact information

In the Link to site field, enter the webpage address that your ad will lead to. The site must match the ad text and meet the Yandex requirements.
Set the display link — this is the webpage address that will be shown in the ad. It lets users know which page they will visit by clicking on the ad.

.In the Mobile app field, select an app from the drop-down list or add a new app. You can't change the app after you save the campaign settings.
Enter the campaign name. Choose a display region for your ads.
Select a display strategy:- If the app has a tracking link, select a strategy. For the Optimize conversions strategy, choose the targeted event and specify the average CPA. For the Optimize clicks strategy, enter the average CPC. If you need to set other limits for the strategy, click Change.
- If an app doesn't have a tracking link, only the Optimize clicks strategy is available.
- Step 2. Create an ad group and add a creative

On the ad group creation page, choose Video in Ad type.
Design a creative using Ad Builder or add a previously created one. You can only add one creative per ad.
- Step 3. Set up impression criteria for the ad group

Under Settings for whole group, enter the keywords and set up bid adjustments as needed.
If you have a Yandex.Metrica tag or a Yandex.Audience segment, you can add a retargeting list.
Ad moderation and launching a campaign
After you create your ad, it will be reviewed to make sure it meets all requirements. Click Send to moderation and confirm that you accept the Yandex terms for publishing your ad. Moderators usually review an ad within a few hours. On weekends and holidays, moderation may take longer than on weekdays.
Your moderation results will be emailed to the address you provided when you created the ad campaign.
Your ads will begin displaying as soon as Yandex receives your payment.
