    • set bid for content sites in accordance with the size of the target audience you hope to reach.

Example: Entry bid

For example, for a keyword, the bid to enter second place in the guaranteed placement block is 12 rubles. Likewise, for third place — 7 rubles, for fourth place — 5 rubles. The corresponding click prices are as follows — 4 rubles, for third place — 3 rubles, for fourth place — 2 rubles.

  1. If you chose to set an “entry bid to 3rd place in guaranteed placement + 30%”, then the bid for that keyword will be 9.1 rub (7 + 0.3 × 7).

If you also entered a “click price of not more than 2.5 rub.”, then the bid will be calculated based on the entry bid to fourth place — 5 rub.. The bid for that keyword will be 6.5 rub. (5 + 0.3 × 5).

  2. If you chose to set an “entry bid to 3rd place in guaranteed placement + 30% of the difference between 2nd and 3rd place in guaranteed placement”, then the bid for that keyword will be 8.5 rub. (7 + 0.3 × (12 – 7)).

If you also entered a “click price of not more than 2.5 rub.”, then the bid will be calculated based on the entry bid to fourth place — 5 rub. and the difference between that and the entry bid to second place. 5 + 0.3 × (12 – 5) = 7.1 rub.. However, bids of 7 rub. and higher guarantee entry to third place, where the click price exceeds the bid. For this reason the entry bid to third place (before the actual auction takes place) will be 6.9 rub..

Attention! When calculating the bid, the system uses the current value of the entry bid for the position in question and the click price. In the future, however, entry bids and click price figures may fluctuate. As a result, ads may end up in lower positions, and/or click price may exceed the value indicated.

Example: Joint bid

For example, let's say that the current bid for two keywords is 7 rubles and 5 rubles respectively.

If you entered “Joint Bid 1”, then both keywords will be assigned a bid of 1 rub.

If you entered “Joint Bid +1”, then the first keyword will be assigned a bid of 8 rub, and the second keyword — 6 rub.

If you enter “Joint Bid –10%”, then the first keyword will be assigned a bid of 6.3 rub, and the second one — 4.5 rub.
