Log in to Direct Commander

If an error occurs while logging into Commander, please follow these recommendations.

You are using an outdated version of the program

Older versions of Direct Commander are incompatible with the newer features and functions of the program, which is why they are no longer supported. You can't log in using the older versions anymore.

Install the latest version of Direct Commander for Windows or macOS and log in using your regular account.

Your data will not be lost: all your ad campaign settings are saved.

Your login is not enabled for Yandex.Direct

You are not a Yandex.Direct user. Create an account in the Yandex.Direct web interface: specify your relevant email address, select the country and currency, and click Start using the service. Then try logging in again.

Access restricted

You may have set up restrictions regarding which IP address you can access Commander from. To change the settings, go to the API settings page, open the Parameters tab, and change the Permitted IP addresses field.

If the error persists, please contact Support.

Authorization server is not accessible
  • Check that your internet connection is stable. You can go to https://yandex.com/internet and check the connection speed (we recommend doing this multiple times).

  • If you're using a Windows OS, check whether secure connections are enabled:

    Windows 10
    1. Click the Start button and select Settings from the menu.
    2. In the settings window, start typing internet options in the search box. In the list that appears, click the Internet Options link.
    3. In the Internet Properties window, go to the Advanced tab.
    4. Make sure that the Use TLS 1.0 option is enabled in the Settings Security section.
    Windows 7
    1. In Internet Explorer, click (Service) → Internet Options in the upper-right corner of the window.
    2. In the Internet Properties window, go to the Advanced tab.
    3. Make sure that the Use TLS 1.0 option is enabled in the Security section.
  • Check access to the Yandex.Direct API: click the https://api.direct.yandex.ru link in the Edge browser (for Windows 10 users), Internet Explorer (for Windows 7 users), or Safari (for macOS users). The word "hello" should appear on the screen.

If the page fails to open, check your antivirus and firewall settings, since these programs can block the connection to the server.

Also check the security certificates installed on your computer:

    Windows 10
    1. Click the Start button and select Settings from the menu.
    2. In the settings window, start typing internet options in the search box. In the list that appears, click the Internet Options link.
    3. In the Internet Properties window, go to the Content tab and click Certificates.
    4. In the Certificates window, open the Intended purpose: drop-down list and select “All”. View the lists of certificates on all tabs. Pay particular attention to the Untrusted publishers tab.
    Windows 7
    1. In Internet Explorer, click (Service) → Internet Options in the upper-right corner of the window.
    2. In the Internet Properties window, go to the Content tab and click Certificates.
    3. In the Certificates window, open the Intended purpose: drop-down list and select “All”. View the lists of certificates on all tabs. Pay particular attention to the Untrusted publishers tab.
    macOS

Open the Keychain Access app and go to the Certificates category. View the list of certificates. Pay particular attention to certificates marked with “This certificate was signed by an untrusted issuer”.
