How to enable database optimization

Database optimization helps speed up Direct Commander. Optimization is enabled by default and starts automatically when you close the program.

To disable or re-enable optimization:

  1. Click File → Settings in the main menu of the program.

  2. Disable or enable the option Optimize database before exiting in the Settings window.

  3. Click Apply.
