# Filters

You can use multiple filters at once on each tab. If several filters are enabled, only items that simultaneously apply to all filters will remain on the tab.

## Search bar {#text}

Each tab has a search bar at the bottom for quick selection. Enter a text and press Enter. The tab shows only items that have this text in a field.

To clear the filter and display all objects, click ![](../_assets/reset-filter.png =18x) in the search bar.


## Favorites {#favorites}

Mark your favorite objects with a star ![](../_assets/star.png =18x). There are several ways to set a star:

- Click in the ![](../_assets/star-field.png =18x) field.

- Select an object or [multiple objects](https://yandex.com/support/direct-commander-new/en/getting-started/multiple-choice.md) and click **Ctrl** + **M**.

- Use the context menu: select multiple objects, right-click to open the menu, and select **Add/remove ★**.

To display your favorite objects only and hide others, click the ![](../_assets/star-filter.png =18x) filter at the bottom of the tab.

## Changes {#changed}

To display only new and changed objects, click the ![](../_assets/changed-filter.png =18x) filter at the bottom of the tab.


## Column filters {#columns}

To open filters for selecting by individual columns, click ![](../_assets/filter-columns-button.png =18x).

Different filters are provided depending on the column type:

- Text filters — by the substring occurrence.

- Numeric filters — by the number specified.

- List filters — by a value from a fixed set.

To disable column filters and display all objects, click ![](../_assets/filter-advanced-button-on.png =18x). The selection criteria you selected are not reset: you can re-enable the filters by clicking ![](../_assets/filter-columns-button.png =18x).

To reset the text or numeric filter, click ![](../_assets/reset-filter.png =18x). To reset the list filter, select "—".

## Show archived {#archive}

To display archived objects, click the ![](../_assets/archive-filter.png =18x) filter at the bottom of the tab. A grayed-out filter icon ![](../_assets/archive-filter-gray.png =18x) indicates that the list is showing archived objects.
