# How to use videos

You can add a video to Text & Image and combinatorial ads. [Learn more about using videos](https://yandex.ru/support/direct/en/efficiency/video) in Yandex Direct Help.

Since July 7, Text & Image ads in unified performance campaigns are available for editing only. For campaigns that previously relied on Text & Image ads, create combinatorial ads.

You can use the video's ID to add it to multiple ads at once, even to those that belong to different ad groups or campaigns. The video and the ad must belong to the same username (advertiser).

Currently, Direct Commander does not support creating, editing, or viewing videos.

For a combinatorial ad, there's an option to add a maximum of 6 videos. You can upload only 2 versions of horizontal, vertical, and square videos. Recommended aspect ratios are 9:16, 1:1, and 16:9.

## Add a video to ads {#edit}

1. In the **Campaigns** tab, select one or [multiple](https://yandex.com/support/direct-commander-new/en/getting-started/multiple-choice.md) campaigns.

1. On the **Ad groups** tab, select one or multiple ad groups.

1. On the **Ads** tab, select one or more ads where you want to add or replace a video.

1. In the **Editing** section in the Inspector, enter the extension ID in the **Video** field. Learn more about [finding out the video ID](https://yandex.ru/support/direct/en/alternative-interfaces/xls-interface#video-id) in Yandex Direct Help.

   Press **Ctrl** + **S** (**Cmd ⌘** + **S** on MacOS) or click the **Save** button at the bottom of Inspector.

## Bulk video upload via XLSX or XLS formats {#xls}

In Direct Commander, you can create videos in bulk for Text & Image ads by importing MP4 files into XLSX/XLS files.

Here's how you can do this:

1. Fill in all fields in the [template](https://yandex.com/support/direct-commander-new/en/advanced/file-format.md#xls).

1. Add a new **DC:Video creative** column in the **Texts** tab.

1. Provide a link to the MP4 file in a cloud storage (for example, `https://bucketname.s3.yandex.net/filename`).

1. Upload the resulting XLSX/XLS file when creating your campaign.
