Set up your company in Yandex.Connect and invite your first employees.
- Step 1. Log in to Yandex.Connect as an administrator.
- Step 2. Link your email domain
- Step 3. Add employees
- Step 4. Assign employees to departments
- Step 5. Activate other services
Step 1. Log in to Yandex.Connect as an administrator.
The account you used to create a company in Yandex.Connect is considered an administrator account. Only administrators can change the company settings, manage employee accounts, and activate or deactivate services.
Step 2. Link your email domain
Link an email domain to your company to gain access to the full Yandex.Connect feature set, such as account management, corporate mail, the DNS editor, and much more. If you don't have an email domain yet, you can always activate it later.
Go to the Yandex.Connect home page, find the Webmaster card, and click Add domain.
Enter the name of your domain (such as
example.org) and click Add.
Confirm your ownership of the domain using one of the methods outlined on the screen. This step is needed to ensure nobody else can connect your domain without your consent.
Wait for the domain to be verified.
Set up DNS records for your domain so that you can use Yandex.Mail. There are two methods:
You can delegate the domain to Yandex servers. In that case, all DNS records are set up automatically.
- If you don't want to delegate your domain to Yandex servers, you can set up DNS records for your domain using the website of your DNS hosting provider. Usually it's the same company that acts as your domain's registrar.
Record type Subdomain name Priority Value MX
N/A Copy the value from Yandex.Mail settings CNAME N/A
Wait for the changes to take effect. It may take DNS servers up to 72 hours to exchange the updated DNS records.
Step 3. Add employees
Add employees to your company. You can create brand new accounts manually, import them from other mail servers, or invite users with existing Yandex accounts to your company.
Chooseat the bottom of the page.
Configure personal information for the new employee.
Chooseat the bottom of the page.
List emails of the employees you want to invite. Yandex.Connect will then send them emails with an invite.
To create an invite link, turn on the Enable access via invite link option. Such links can be easily sent via a messenger or posted on a website.
Create employee accounts hosted on your email domain. Such accounts can be managed manually: you can set their passwords, change personal information, block them, and so on.
You can transfer your existing corporate mailboxes and their contents to Yandex.Connect, even if they're hosted on another email service (be it a private server or a public one, such as Mail.Ru, Gmail, etc.). Associated employee accounts are created for each transferred mailbox. To learn more about importing mailbox, read the Importing mailboxes section.
You can invite users to your company and make them your employees. You don't have to link an email domain or manually create each new employee account. Just send your employees an invite:
Step 4. Assign employees to departments
You can recreate your company's internal structure in Yandex.Connect: create departments and sub-departments, add employees, and assign respective department managers. This makes it easier to manage access rights, grant or revoke subscriptions, or create group mailing lists and chats.
At the bottom of the page, select.
Set up your department and click Create.
To learn more about managing your company structure, go to the Departments section.
Step 5. Activate other services
Go to the Yandex.Connect homepage and click on the service card.
Click Activate on that service's settings page.
