Aliases are additional names of mailboxes. They allow you to assign up to 10 alternative addresses to one mailbox hosted on your domain. For example, you can add the
advertising@ alias for an employee who manages advertising. After this, emails sent to the address
email@example.com will be delivered to this employee's mailbox.
If you delete an alias, emails sent to it end up in the mailbox specified in mail settings for your company.
Create an alias
- Log in to Yandex.Connect as an administrator.
Open the All employees page.
Choose an employee from the list or use the search box on the upper panel in Yandex.Connect.
In the employee profile, click , then select Manage aliases. Only employees with mailboxes hosted on your domain can use aliases.
Click Add new alias.
Enter the email address for the alias and click Add.Restriction. You can create a maximum of 10 aliases for a single mailbox.
You do not need to set a separate password for aliases. To set up a mail client or mail collector from this address, the employee can just use their main password.
