Aliases are additional names of mailboxes. They allow you to assign up to 10 alternative addresses to one mailbox hosted on your domain. For example, you can add the
advertising@ alias for an employee who manages advertising. After this, emails sent to the addresses
firstname.lastname@example.org will be delivered to this employee's mailbox.
If you simply delete an alias, emails sent to this alias will end up in the special mailbox specified in mail settings for your organization.
