Buttons don't work, page elements don't display, attachments don't attach

There are a few reasons why this might occur:

The browser displays data saved in the cache

Clear your browser cache and delete all cookies so that your browser displays current data (rather than cached pages).

Extensions block Yandex.Mail

Yandex.Mail may not work properly due to certain browser extensions or add-ons. You can temporarily disable them to determine if this is the case. If ad blockers or antivirus extensions are causing problems with Yandex.Mail, then you can add the Mail page to the list of exceptions for that particular extension.

You are using an outdated browser

Install the latest version of your browser.

Certificate problems

If you get a message in your browser concerning an non-secure connection or an incorrect security certificate:

  • Make sure that the correct address is entered in your browser's address bar — mail.yandex.com or passport.yandex.com, and that the / symbol is after com rather than a period or some other symbol.
  • Make sure that your date and time are correctly set on your computer. If the wrong date or time is set, then the system may incorrectly determine that the certificate period hasn't started yet or that it's already expired.
  • Make sure that your antivirus settings are not configured to check HTTPS-connections.
The wrong compatibility mode is selected in Internet Explorer 8 and higher.

If you are using compatibility mode with an older version in Internet Explorer 8 and higher, this may cause errors when using the pages.

To change the behavior, align Browser mode and Document mode settings with the version of the browser you are using.

  1. Press the F12 button or select menu option Developer tools.
  2. Click on the icon and select a value which corresponds to the version of the browser that you use.
Note. If you use Internet Explorer of version 11 and higher, select value Edge.
