Signature

You can create a signature that will be automatically inserted when you compose, reply to, or forward a message. You can create multiple signatures for different purposes, such as for friends, work, or using a foreign language. You can either pick a signature during email composition or set up automatic signature selection.

Restriction. If your organization's administrator has set a mandatory signature, your personal signature will not be displayed.

Create a signature

  1. Click in the upper-right corner.
  2. Choose Personal data, signature, picture
  3. Enter your signature in the Your signatures section.
  4. You can also format your signature text using the tools above the text field.
  5. You can add an image to your signature if needed:
    • By link — click the icon below the text field and paste a direct link to your image.
    • Locally — drag the image from a folder on your computer into the signature text field.
  6. To save your signature, click Add signature.

  1. Move your cursor over the upper right corner of your signature.
  2. Click the icon that appears.

Configuring signature selection

If you have several signatures, you can choose a specific one when composing a message, or set up signature auto-selection.

  1. Move the cursor to the current signature.
  2. Click the button that appears to the left of the signature.
  3. Choose a signature.
Note. If you are unable to choose a signature when composing a message, check if the option allow signature selection on the message composition page is turned on in settings.

Choosing signature location in responses

By default, the signature is placed at the end of the message or conversation. If you would like to place it immediately after your reply, choose the option under Place signature.

Note. This option can be applied across the board to all the signatures you have created.

Delete a signature

  1. Move your cursor over the upper right corner of your signature.
  2. Click the icon that appears.

The signature is displayed incorrectly

If your signature is not displayed correctly (formatting or hyperlinks don't work or images aren't displayed), make sure formatting is enabled.

Did you notice it before or after composing your email?

Enable email formatting: click No formatting. Make sure the No formatting button is not highlighted in yellow:

Refresh the message composition page by pressing F5 on Windows or +Ron macOS.

Then format your signature manually.

Attention. Don't refresh the page. Otherwise you may lose everything you've written so far.

I can't choose a signature when composing an email

Go to settings and make sure the option allow signature selection on the message composition page is enabled in the Signature selection section.
