Windows network drive

The Yandex.Disk program is the simplest and most secure way to manage your Yandex.Disk files. If you can't or don't want to use the program (for example, if your operating system doesn't meet the requirements), you can connect Yandex.Disk to Windows as a standard network drive.

  1. Windows 8, 10
  2. Windows Vista, 7
  3. Windows XP

Windows 8, 10

  1. Open File Explorer.
  2. Right-click the This PC entry and choose Map network drive.
  3. In the Folder field, enter the server URL: https://webdav.yandex.com
  4. Turn on the Reconnect at logon option.
  5. Click Finish.
  6. Enter your Yandex username and password (or the app password, if you use or previously used two-factor authentication).
    Note. If you paste your password from the clipboard (for example, using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+V, you might get the error “Access denied”. Try typing in your password.
  7. Turn on the Remember my credentials option and click OK.

All your Yandex.Disk files will be directly accessible on the network drive.

Windows Vista, 7

  1. Open the Start menu and right click Computer, then select Map Network Drive.

  2. Under the Folder option, enter the server address: https://webdav.yandex.com

  3. Turn on the the Reconnect at logon option.
  4. Click Finish.

  5. Enter your Yandex username and password (or the app password, if you use or previously used two-factor authentication).

    Note. If you paste your password from the clipboard (for example, using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+V, you might get the error “Access denied”. Try typing in your password.
  6. Turn on the Remember my credentials option and click OK.

All your Yandex.Disk files will be directly accessible on the network drive.

Windows XP

    1. Click Start.

    2. Right click My Computer and select Map Network Drive.

    3. Follow the Sign up for online storage or connect to a network server link in the next window.

    Follow the instructions in the setup wizard:

    1. Click Next.
    2. Make sure that Choose another network location is selected.
    3. Enter https://webdav.yandex.com.

      Note. If you receive an “Invalid folder name” error message, try changing the server address to http://webdav.yandex.com (Windows may not support WebDAV connections over HTTPS).
    4. Windows will request a username and password: enter your Yandex username and password (or the app password if you use or previously used two-factor authentication).

    5. Enter a name for the network location. All your Yandex.Disk files will be directly accessible on the network drive.

    1. Select all the options except Reinstall only if file is missing and click OK:

    3. Restart your computer when the installation is complete.
