Attention. The Yandex.Disk app is supported by iOS versions 8.0 and higher.

You can manage your Disk files on Yandex.Disk for iOS. You can download the app from the AppStore.

Use your Yandex username and password to log in and you will have access to the same files and folders as on the web interface.

Attention. If you use two-factor authentication, you will need a one-time password, which is generated by the “Yandex.Key” app, to log in to the Yandex.Disk application.

Pull the list of files and folders down to update. The app status will change to “Updating” as the new data is retrieved.

Upload files to Disk

Upload from iOS

Open the folder where you want to upload your file and tap .

You will then be asked whether you would like to upload a file from your Camera Roll, take a new photo or create a folder.

To upload photos from your Camera Roll, you'll first need to select the album. Then choose the photos and tap Done.

Open a file in other apps

Open the file in the “Yandex.Disk” app, then tap .

Select Open in.

Yandex.Disk displays a list of apps supporting that particular file type.

Start entering the name of a file or subfolder in the search bar and Disk will give you matches in the folder contents.

Note. Only the folder that is currently open will be searched. Files in subfolders will not be found.

Share a link to a file or folder

Share using iOS

Select the files or folders and tap Share.

Choose whether you would like to send the link by SMS or copy it to your clipboard.

Note. You can find the list of all files and folders you've shared on the Links page.

Configure auto-uploads of photos and videos

You can automatically upload photos and videos to Disk from your mobile device and store them in the “Camera Uploads” folder or any other folder on Disk. A window asking if you would like to set up auto-uploads will be displayed the first time you open the app.

The following auto-upload methods are available:

  • Wi-Fi only. Photos and videos will only be uploaded over a Wi-Fi network.
  • Over any network. Photos and videos will be uploaded over any internet connection (Wi-Fi, mobile internet).
    Attention. You may be charged when uploading photos over your mobile data connection. The amount will depend on your mobile operator and tariff.

Select an option and tap Done. The auto-uploads will start automatically. Tap Skip if you want to set up auto-uploads later.

Note. If your internet connection is interrupted, uploads will automatically continue once your connection is re-established.

By default, all the photos and videos detected on your mobile device will be uploaded to the automatically-created “Camera Uploads” folder. All the files in your folder will be named according to the date and time they were taken. You can manage your photographs on your mobile device or on the Disk page in image viewer.

Note. If you have already set up photo and video auto-uploads from your mobile device in the Windows app, Mac OS app or Android, the iOS app will just automatically upload new photos and videos to Disk.

Change or disable auto-uploads of photos and videos

Open settings.

Open the Camera Upload section.

Enable this option if necessary.

Delete files

Select the files or folders you would like to delete, then tap Delete in the lower panel. Once you confirm the action, all the selected files will be moved to your Trash. The deleted files are stored in the Trash for 30 days, after which they are automatically removed from the server. Once removed from the server, these files cannot be restored.

Attention. Files in your Trash count towards your storage allowance. Empty your Trash if you're running out of space.

Working with files in offline mode

To access files without an internet connection, add them to the Offline section. Files will be downloaded to your mobile device. If you change these files, they will be automatically synchronized with the Offline versions when you connect to the internet.

Select the files you need and click Offline. Files added to Offline mode will be marked with .

Pull the screen to the right and select Offline.

Select the files you need and click Offline.

Clear the Offline section

When you clear the Offline section, files are only deleted from your mobile devices. They will still be saved on the Yandex.Disk servers.

Open settings.

Select Clear Offline.

Confirm clearing.

Edit images

You can edit images right in the app: change their size, definition, brightness or contrast, and apply various effects and filters.

To switch to the editor, open the image and click the icon.

When the image is ready, click Save and all changes will be saved to a new folder. The original images will not be altered.
