Email attachments

All files that were attached to Yandex.Mail emails (from your Inbox, Sent, Trash, and Drafts folders) are kept in this section. Only the sender and recipient of the email can access these files.

Attachments do not take up space on your Yandex.Disk, don't sync with your Yandex.Disk folder on your computer and are not available in mobile apps. To make an attachment available on all your devices, copy it to one of your Yandex.Disk folders. To go to files, click the Files → Email attachments button on the upper panel.

Note. You can't move email attachments to other folders but you can copy them there.

There are two types of attachment files:

  • Email attachments — Files less than 25 MB attached to the message itself. To delete this type of file, delete the message it is attached to:
    1. Select the file.
    2. On the right-side panel, click the subject of the message. The message with the attachment will open in a new tab.
    3. On the Yandex.Mail upper panel, click Delete.
  • Sent as links to Disk — Files more than 25 MB uploaded to Disk automatically when added to the message. These types of files are stored on Yandex.Disk because the majority of mail services don't accept emails with files of this size. To delete a file from the Attachments sent as links to Disk section, select the file and click in the properties panel.
