# Incognito mode

_Incognito mode_ (also known as Private Browsing in Firefox and Private Window in Safari) is a privacy mode that you use to keep your search history and browsing activity secret. In Incognito mode, the browser doesn't save your passwords, autofill data, search queries, browsing history, or the pages you visit. However, changes to settings, downloaded files, and bookmarks are saved.

    1. In the top right corner of the screen, press the profile picture.
    1. Enable the **Enable Incognito mode**.

- Tizen

    1. Open the **Samsung Internet** app.
    1. Select **Tabs** → **Turn on Secret mode**.
    1. Press **Start**.

If you use Incognito mode, your browsing history and other data are inaccessible to site owners, who collect data for marketing purposes, and other people that may use your computer.

Information about your activities remains available to the internet provider (if they use [DPI](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deep_packet_inspection)), the administrator of the local network through which you access the internet, and the administrator of the site where you enter personal data.
