Configure location access

Sites and apps request access to your location so that they can show you more accurate search results and relevant information (for example, the local weather forecast).

How to configure location access:

On a computer
If you have macOS
  1. Select System Settings → Privacy & Security.

  2. Enable Location Services.

  3. Enable the browser you need.

  4. Confirm your actions with Touch ID or password.

  5. Choose your browser from the list below and follow the steps to turn on location services.

On a mobile device

Location access blocked

If you see a message saying that access to your location or geodata is forbidden, configure access according to the instructions above.

Disable location tracking

Your location is detected automatically based on your IP address. You can prohibit all sites from detecting your location in the browser settings. Select your device and browser (see above) and follow the instructions.
