Mouse gestures

Mouse gestures are enabled by default in the settings. Hold down the right mouse button to perform gestures. Then release the button after you complete the gesture.

Attention. If you are using a one-button mouse in macOS, you need to perform all gestures by holding down the Ctrl key and the mouse button.

Mouse wheel
Zoom Increase zoom level

Press Ctrl and scroll the mouse wheel forward.

Decrease page zoom

Press Ctrl and scroll the mouse wheel back.

Disable gestures

  1. Click   → Settings → Tools.
  2. In the Mouse gestures section, deselect the Turn on option.
Note.

You can't disable mouse gestures that are part of the operating system:

  • Zoom gestures.
  • Swiping left and right in macOS.

To disable swiping on macOS, click  → System Preferences → Trackpad → More Gestures and disable the Swipe between pages option.

Gesture settings

You can disable specific gestures or hotkeys.

  1. Click   → Settings → Tools.
  2. In the Mouse gestures section, click Mouse gesture settings.
  3. Disable the unwanted options.

The mouse pointer freezes during online gaming

When you're playing certain games in Yandex Browser, your cursor may freeze when you press the mouse buttons. If this happens, try disabling mouse gestures:

  1. Click   → Settings → Tools.
  2. In the Mouse gestures section, deselect the Turn on option.
