Number and size of tabs

There's no limit to the number of tabs that you can open in Yandex Browser, but having a lot of tabs open might overload your computer's processor and memory.

Note. You can have several dozen tabs open simultaneously in the browser. To avoid overloading your computer's memory and resources, Yandex Browser doesn't load more than 10 tabs when you launch it. Furthermore, it loads them consecutively, rather than simultaneously. Videos only start playing in the active tab.
Tab width

If you have more than 50 tabs open in the browser, the horizontal scrolling icon appears to the right of them. To prevent tabs from becoming too small when you have a lot open:

  1. Click   → Settings → Interface.
  2. In the Tabs and groups section, enable the Limit minimum tab width option.
Tab preview

Many open tabs become difficult to navigate. So when you hover over a tab, the browser displays a thumbnail of the page. If you want to disable tab preview:

  1. Click   → Settings → Interface.
  2. In the Tabs and groups section, disable the Show tab thumbnails on hover option.
Duplicate tabs
If you accidentally click the same link in an external app multiple times, several identical tabs open in Yandex Browser. To avoid this, go to   → Settings → Interface and enable the Do not duplicate tabs when opening from external apps option.
