Zoom, font, and encoding

Zoom

Zoom for all pages

To set the same zoom settings for all the pages:

  1. click the icon  Settings.
  2. In the lower half of the Settings page, click Show advanced settings.
  3. In the Web content section, select the desired level from the Page zoom list.

Zoom for a specific page

To change the zoom on a page:

  1. click the  icon.
  2. In the menu that opens, click a button:

    — zoom out

    — zoom in

    — Maximize window to full screen.

You can also change the page zoom using keyboard shortcuts and gestures.

Information about changes to scale are stored in Yandex.Browser. The next time the page is opened, it will use your selected zoom level.

To delete zoom settings for specific pages:

  1. click the icon  Settings.
  2. In the lower half of the Settings page, click Show advanced settings.
  3. In the Privacy section, click Content settings.
  4. In the Zoom Level section, click Settings.
  5. Put the cursor on the line for the desired site, then click the icon that appears .

Font

To set the same font for all pages:

  1. click the icon  Settings.
  2. In the lower half of the Settings page, click Show advanced settings.
  3. Go to the web content section and click Customize fonts.
  4. In the Fonts and encoding window, choose which fonts and which size to use for web pages, as well as which encoding to show pages in.
  5. Click Done.

Encoding

If the text on a page is not displayed correctly, use encoding auto detection, or try changing the page encoding manually.

  1. Click  AdvancedAdvanced toolsEncoding.
  2. Set the assumed page encoding, or select Automatically from the list.
Attention! Displaying text in uncommon languages requires installing additional fonts on your computer.
