# Cache

The browser _cache_ is a folder containing copies of some data from the pages that you've visited. The cache usually stores page elements that aren't likely to change often, such as music, videos, images, styles, and scripts. When you open a page you've visited before, the browser doesn't access it on the internet again but loads it from the cache instead. This makes the page open faster and decreases the network load.

## Clear the cache {#clear}

1. Tap ![](../_image/menu-icon-lite.png) → ![](../_image/settings-icon-lite.png).
1. Tap **Delete data**.
1. Set the toggle to **From cache**.
1. Click **Delete**.
