Browser freezes
If Yandex Browser freezes, contact us via the form. Describe your situation in as much detail as possible:

What actions cause the browser to freeze.

Describe what happened before the browser stopped responding. For example, did you reinstall the browser, update or install programs or extensions?
If this doesn't help, contact support:

Does the problem occur with all webpages or only certain ones (if so, which ones).

If you have problems opening pages, include the error text in your message.
Browser takes too long to start
Try clearing the Yandex Browser cache:

On the bottom panel, tap

Select Cache.

Deselect all the other options (if you only want to delete the browser cache).

Confirm deletion.

Browser takes up a lot of space
Check how much space the browser cache takes up. To do this:

Open your device settings.
-
Tap General → iPhone storage → Yandex.

If Documents & Data take up more than 200 MB, clear the browser cache:

Site content isn't displayed correctly
Webpages might display incorrectly. For example, the page displays garbled characters instead of letters, or the formatting may be broken. You may also run across buttons that don't work, links that don't open, or disappearing menus.
Try refreshing the page and clearing the browser cache.

Low video quality
The quality of video playback usually depends on your web connection speed. If it's inexplicably low, clear the cache:

I can't disable video autoplay when going to a site
When you go to certain sites, videos start playing automatically. It is not possible to disable autoplay on websites in Yandex Browser.
Disable automatic video pop-out
Note
This feature is available on devices running on iOS 14.0 and higher.
If you switch to a different app when viewing a full-screen video in Yandex Browser, it continues playing in a small pop-out window, which appears on top of the other app (also known as Picture in Picture, or PiP). Tap the pop-out window to go back to viewing the video in Yandex Browser. You can drag the video window to any part of your smartphone screen.
To disable this feature:

Open your smartphone settings.

Tap General → Picture in picture.

Disable Start PiP automatically.
The option will be disabled for all apps on your smartphone.
Where is Turbo mode?
Yandex Browser used Turbo mode to speed up access to various sites, but it only worked over the HTTP protocol. There are very few such sites left now, so we turned off Turbo mode in Yandex Browser and removed it from settings. We introduced other mechanisms to keep Yandex Browser fast without any special modes and will continue working to make it even faster.
