Yandex Collections

In Favorites of the mobile Yandex Browser, you can:

  • Select and save images and videos that you find interesting.
  • Add bookmarks to access them from other browsers.

To access your collections, log in using your Yandex ID on all your synced devices.

Attention. You can update your collections without logging in to Yandex. But if you do so, you may lose your collections (for example, if you clear cookies or reinstall the browser). You also can't edit bookmarks or create new collections if you aren't logged in.

View a collection

To open Collections in Yandex Browser for Mobile:

  1. Tap  → Bookmarks.
  2. Go to the  tab.

At the top, you'll see the horizontal collection feed with the latest collection updates under it. Scroll down to see the list of updates, swipe to see your collections.

To view the contents of a collection, such as My links, tap the card.

To view all your collections, tap Open to the right of My collections.

Tip. You can view images, videos, and bookmarks added to the Collection in any browser. To do this, open the Yandex site in your browser, log in, and then tap in the upper-right corner of the page. If you grant public access to your collection, you can access it in another browser without logging in to Yandex. Other Yandex users can also see this collection.

Add pages and images

You can save bookmarks in two places:

  • In the Bookmark Manager. In this case, you can only view them in Yandex Browser on synced devices.
  • In Collections. Then you can also view your bookmarks in other browsers.

To add a bookmark to your collection:

  1. Open the web page.
  2. Tap  → .
  3. In the panel that opens at the bottom of the screen, tap Edit.
  4. Select the collection where you want to add the bookmark (or create a new collection).

If you don't tap Edit, the page is saved to the default collection. When you first add pages, the default collection is My links. Later, it's the last collection you added content to. You can find the page using Bookmark Manager.

You can also add a page to a collection by saving the link:

  1. Tap and hold the link.
  2. In the context menu, select Add to collections.

Edit cards

  1. Open your collections.
  2. Find the collection you need in the horizontal feed.
  3. Select the card of an image, video, or link.
  4. The icon is displayed in the upper-right corner of the card. Choose an action:
    • Move to another collection. Tap  → Move. Select the collection where you want to add the card (or create a new one).
    • Change the description. Tap   → Edit. Edit the card description and tap Save changes.
    • Remove from collections. Tap   → Delete. Confirm the action.

Make a collection public

To view a collection from all browsers:

  1. Open your collections.
  2. Find the collection you need in the horizontal feed.
  3. Tap Enable public access under the collection description.
Note. If your collections are open, other users can comment on them, subscribe, and share links to them.

Invite co-contributors

You can create Shared collections with other users. Other users cannot edit the list of co-contributors, collection name, and description. Only you can do it. Co-contributors can add, edit, and delete their cards.

To add a co-contributor:

  1. Open your collections.
  2. Find the collection you need in the horizontal feed.
  3. Under the collection description, tap   → Add a co-author → Invite.
  4. Send an invitation over social media or by email. You can also copy an invitation link and send it to your co-author using any method.
Note. The invitation link remains active for several days. If the co-contributor doesn't join via this link within this time, get a new link.

Disable notifications

If you don't want to receive notifications about events in your collections:

  1. Tap   → .
  2. In the More settings section, disable Push notifications from Yandex.
