Search options
Save time by using SmartBox, voice search and page search to quickly find your answers. In Yandex Browser for Mobile, you can also search for information using images.
Note
You can enable family search to make sure there's no inappropriate content in search results. To learn more, see the Filter adult content section in FAQ about Yandex Search.
SmartBox
The SmartBox is the main element in Yandex Browser that you use to enter site addresses and search for information. The SmartBox is found in the upper part of the browser.
- Enter a search query or go to a website

Use the SmartBox to enter search terms, a URL, or the name of a website (you can use your voice or the keyboard to enter searches).

Tap the enter button on the virtual keyboard.
Yandex Browser automatically detects whether to show you a website or search results.

Voice search
Voice input can be used for both search queries and website addresses. The voice search language is set automatically to match the system language on your tablet. To start a voice search, tap on the right side of the SmartBox.
Note
Voice search is available in Russian, English, Ukrainian, Kazakh, and Turkish. If one of these languages is the default language of your tablet, Yandex Browser will automatically use it for voice search. If you use a different language on your tablet, voice search will automatically switch to English.
