Protect: manage your passwords

The Password manager for Yandex Browser for Mobile allows you to easily view, change, and delete your passwords.

  1. View password
  2. Change password
  3. Delete passwords
  4. Disable password manager

View password

To view usernames and passwords from a specific website:

  1. Click  → Password manager.
  2. If you have already created a master password, please enter it to access your data storage.
  3. Go to Password and tap a website name.
  4. Tap next to the password.

Change password

To change a password from a specific website:

  1. Click  → Password manager.
  2. If you have already created a master password, please enter it to access your data storage.
  3. Go to Password and tap a website name.
  4. Tap Edit.
  5. Edit your username, password or password comment.
  6. Tap Save.

Delete passwords

Website password
  1. Click  → Password manager.
  2. If you have already created a master password, please enter it to access your data storage.
  3. Go to Password and tap a website name.
  4. Tap Delete.
  5. Confirm deletion.
All passwords
  1. Click  → Password manager.
  2. If you have already created a master password, please enter it to access your data storage.
  3. Under the list of passwords, tap Delete all passwords.
  4. Confirm deletion.

Disable password manager

Note. Even if you disable the password manager on your tablet, it stays enabled on other devices.

If you use a third-party password manager and do not want the browser to save and insert passwords:

  1. Tap  → Settings.
  2. Go to the Passwords section.
  3. Disable the Password manager option.

Now the browser stops saving passwords, inserting them into authorization forms and requesting your master password to access your vault. Previously entered passwords are stored on your tablet encrypted. They become available again if you re-enable the password manager.

To do this, enable the Password manager option in the settings.
