Yandex Browser for Mobile displays notifications from:


Chats in Yandex Browser for Mobile notify users of new messages.

Yandex.Chats notifications are enabled by default. To disable them:

  1. Tap  → Settings.
  2. In the Notifications section, tap Notifications from Chats.
  3. Disable Show notifications.

Yandex services

Yandex services send notifications about weather changes, traffic conditions, emergencies, and other events. You can choose what kind of notifications you want to see.

To select which notifications from Yandex services you want to get:

  1. Tap  → Settings.
  2. In the Notifications section, tap Yandex Notifications.
  3. Select the notifications you want to get.

Other sites

Websites can send notifications about news, comments, updates, and other events. Usually, websites request permission to send notifications, but sometimes they can do this without permission. In Yandex Browser for Mobile, you can allow or block notifications from a specific website, or disable notification prompts for all websites.

When you first open a website that sends notifications, Yandex.Browser asks you whether you want to allow or block them. After you choose whether to allow or block notifications, the Notifications from site option appears in the Protect toolbar.

Allow or block notifications from a site
  1. Tap the connection status icon in the SmartBox.
  2. In the Protect toolbar that opens, enable or disable the Notifications from this site option.
Prevent sites from suggesting notifications
  1. Tap  → Settings.
  2. In the Notifications section, tap Site notifications.
  3. Disable the Notifications option.

After that, websites will not suggest notifying you anymore. Sites that you have already allowed to send notifications will continue sending them. You need to block notifications separately for each site.
