Dark theme for yandex.ru

You can enable the dark theme for the Yandex Home page, search results, and services:

In the Home page settings
Under Appearance of Yandex services, select Dark.
Note. To select the theme, log in using Yandex ID.
In the search results
  1. Scroll up the search results page.
  2. Tap the profile icon in the upper-right corner.
  3. Tap Appearance → Always dark.

Yandex Browser background

You can use images as the background:

From the Background gallery
  1. Open a new tab.
  2. Tap  → Background gallery.
  3. Select an image from an album and tap Apply.
From your tablet
  1. Open a new tab.
  2. Tap  → Background gallery.
  3. Tap Upload from device.
  4. Select the app to open the images with (if you don't have a default app for this file type).
  5. Pick an image.

Interface language

To display the Yandex Browser interface in a different language, change the language of your tablet.

Note. Mobile device manufacturers may change the Android interface. The instructions are for Androids without modifications.
  1. Open your device settings.
  2. Tap System → Languages & input → Languages.
  3. Select a language.
Restriction. If the browser doesn't support the language you selected, the interface is set to English.

FAQ

I changed the theme in the browser settings, but the yandex.ru theme hasn't changed

The appearance of the Yandex Home page, search results, and services isn't linked to Yandex Browser. If you want yandex.ru to use the same theme as Yandex Browser, select System settings in the home page settings.

The yandex.ru theme hasn't changed

If the home page theme hasn't changed after you selected System settings for the home page appearance, you might have selected a light or dark theme in the browser settings.

Select System settings for Yandex Browser as well.
