Text translation
Restriction
This feature works only with an internet connection.
You can use Yandex Browser for Mobile to translate text in a photo, ad, or road sign. To do this, point your camera at the text, and the translation will appear on top of the text in the original language.
Note
Allow Yandex Browser to access your camera and files in the device settings.

Open Yandex Browser and click
in the Smartbox. -
Select the Translate mode.

At the top, choose the source and target languages.

Point your camera at the text or choose an image with text from your device's gallery. Wait until Yandex Translate processes the text.
Translation-related actions
What actions you can perform with the translated text depends on the mode in which the translation has been performed.
If you used the live translation mode (by pointing the camera at the text), you can:

Copy text.

Open text in Yandex Translate if the translation is inaccurate or incomplete.
To do this, tap 
and select the desired action from the list.
If you have uploaded an image from your gallery, you can:

Change the language of the text and translation — select the language at the top of the screen;

— Open text in Yandex Translate if the translation is inaccurate or incomplete. -
— Rate the translation. -
View the original text — tap Show original.

View the translation of a specific word or phrase. To do so, tap Show original and swipe over the word or phrase. You will see the translation, which can be copied or sent to a messenger;

— Rotate the image if it was uploaded in the wrong orientation.
