Power saving mode
When you use your tablet a lot, the device may quickly run out of power. The battery capacity also decreases with time: the older your tablet is, the faster the battery discharges. Power saving mode in Yandex Browser for Mobile saves your battery charge and gives you one extra hour of tablet use.
How does power saving mode work?
Enable
- Automatic

When the battery charge drops to 20%, Yandex Browser turns on power saving mode and the icon appears to the right of the SmartBox.
By default, power saving mode is turned off when you start charging your tablet.
- For the current session

- Tap.
The percentage of battery charge saved is displayed next to the option.
Power saving mode is turned off when you start charging your tablet.
- Continuously

- Tap.
- Tap Power saving mode.
- In Power-saving settings, drag the slider right to On.
Disable
- For the current session

- Tap the icon in the browser.
- Turn off Power saving .
Tip. You can disable display of the saved charge in the browser menu. To do this, tap Power saving mode in settings and disable the Show widget in menu option. - Continuously

- Tap Power saving mode.
- In Power-saving settings, drag the slider left to Off.
Settings
- Tap.
- Tap Power saving mode.
- Adjust the settings:
- Power-saving settings. Use the slider to set the charge level to trigger the mode.
- Show widget in menu. Disable this option if you don't want the menu to display Power saving.
- You can also control which browser features will work in power saving mode:
- Reader mode. Turn on this option to make reader mode available.
- Smooth animation of web page elements. Turn on this option to enable smooth animation of website elements. This will allow maps and online games to be rendered in high quality.
- App animations. Enable this option to allow animated elements in Yandex Browser.
