FAQ about Yandex Browser settings

Make Yandex Browser for Mobile even more convenient to use: enable a shortcut to the browser to switch back from other apps and add icons for your favorite sites to your smartphone's home screen.

Where are the settings?

Tap  → Settings.

Back to browser icon

If you enable the Back to browser icon in the settings, you'll just need to tap the  icon to return to the browser from other apps. To do this:

  1. Tap  → Settings.

  2. Go to Advanced.

  3. Enable "Back to browser" icon on top of other apps.

Website icon on the home screen

Add an icon for your favorite website to your smartphone's home screen to access it with a single tap. The site opens in a new Yandex Browser tab, regardless of which browser is the default one.

  1. Tap  → Add shortcut.

  2. Tap Add in the window that opens.

  1. Tap and hold the shortcut icon.

  2. Drag the icon to the "Remove" option.

Note

When you delete the browser, site icons are also deleted.
