Tableau

You can use Tableau on the new tab screen to access your favorite sites in a single tap. You see the Tableau when you open a new tab.

How Tableau is generated

When you open the mobile Yandex Browser for the first time, your Tableau is filled with default sites (depending on the region setting on your device). Later, sites are automatically added to and removed from the Tableau based on how often you visit them. You can also pin sites manually.

Note

You can add Tableau to the Android notification bar (to open the notification bar, swipe down from the top edge of the screen). To do this, go to Settings and enable Show Tableau in the notification bar in Notifications.

Add a website to Tableau

  1. Pull the Tableau down and tap the tile with the  icon.

  2. Enter the name and address of the site or choose a popular site from a category.

  3. Click Add.

  1. Go to the site.

  2. Tap  → Add to Tableau.

Popular sites

You can add a popular site to the Tableau. The selections of the most popular sites are divided into categories. Their list is updated every six months. Popularity is calculated based on the number of visits and visitors to Yandex Browser.

Supported categories:

  • Services. Essentials: mail, maps, weather.

  • Education. Online learning and reference books.

  • Entertainment. Games, music, and movies.

  • Interests. Hobby sites: cars, cooking, sports.

  • Sport. Sports sites.

  • Yandex services. All Yandex services.

Edit Tableau

  1. Tap .

  2. Pull the Tableau down.

  3. Tap and hold a site on the Tableau.

  4. Perform the desired action:

    • To pin a site, tap .

    • To unpin a website, tap .

    • To edit the name and address of the site, tap the  icon.

    • To remove a website, tap .

    • To move a site on the Tableau, drag and drop it where you need it.

Disable Tableau

You can disable the Tableau.

  1. Tap  → .

  2. In the Cards on the home screen section, disable the Show Tableau option.
