Offline mode

Note. Offline mode isn't available to all users because it is still under development.

Yandex Browser for Mobile saves copies of open pages and can open them later when:

  • No internet connection is available.
  • Mobile internet is turned off.
  • Airplane mode is turned on.

If you're viewing a saved page, you'll see the text Saved copy of page displayed in the SmartBox as well as the word Saved and the icon under page titles in the tab list.

To use offline mode, your smartphone must have at least 1024 MB (on Android 8.0 or higher) or 512 MB (Android versions below 8.0) of free memory.

Yandex Browser can save up to 50 copies of open pages. The copy is updated every time you leave the original page on the website.

Note. Hyperlinks and interactive elements on a page do not always work in saved copies. If these elements don't work, the browser will ask you to refresh the page by tapping in the SmartBox.

Disabling offline mode

  1. Tap  in the SmartBox or use the connection status icon.
  2. Disable Offline mode.
