Zoom

Zoom for all pages

To set the same zoom settings for all the pages:

  1. Click   → Settings.
  2. At the bottom of the Settings page, click Show advanced settings.
  3. In the Web content section, select the desired level from the Page zoom list.
Zoom for a specific page

To change the zoom on a page:

  1. Click the  icon.
  2. In the menu that opens, click a button:

    — zoom out

    — zoom in

    — Maximize window to full screen.

You can also change the page zoom using keyboard shortcuts and gestures.

Data on the changed page zoom is stored in Yandex.Browser. The next time the page is opened, it will use your selected zoom level.

To delete zoom settings for specific pages:

  1. Click   → Settings.
  2. At the bottom of the Settings page, click Show advanced settings.
  3. In the Privacy section, click Content settings.
  4. In the Zoom Level section, click Settings.
  5. Put the cursor on the line for the desired site, then click the icon that appears .
  6. Click Done.

Font

To set the same font for all pages:

  1. Click   → Settings.
  2. At the bottom of the Settings page, click Show advanced settings.
  3. Go to the web content section and click Customize fonts.
  4. In the Fonts window, specify what fonts and text size you want to use.
  5. Click Done.

Fuzzy font

Disable ClearType

Disable ClearType antialiasing in Windows settings.

  1. Open the Windows Control panel.
  2. Go to System → Advanced system settings (in Windows 10, this section is called System and Security).
  3. On the Advanced tab, go to the Performance section and click Settings.
  4. On the Visual effects tab, deselect the Smooth edges of screen fonts option.
Turn off GDIPP

If you have GDIPP installed, disable it temporarily and check how fonts are displayed.

Text encoding

If the text on a page is not displayed correctly, use encoding auto detection, or try changing the page encoding manually.

  1. Click   → Advanced → More tools → Text encoding.
  2. Set the assumed page encoding, or select Automatically from the list.
Attention. Displaying text in uncommon languages requires installing additional fonts on your computer.
