Where are the settings?
To open your settings, click .
Browser start page
Instead of the start page, Yandex Browser opens either your Tableau (with your most frequently visited pages), or the tabs that were left open during your last session. By default, Yandex Browser opens the tabs. If you want it to open your Tableau:
- Click.
- Go to Interface.
- In the Tabs section, disable the option. Now when you start the browser, it will open the tabs you left open last time.
To set the Yandex website as your home page, enable the following options: Open previously-opened tabs upon browser start and Open yandex.ru if home page is empty. You can also pin a tab instead of the home page. To do this, right-click on the tab and clickPin tab in the context menu.
How do I disable browser autostart?
By default, the browser launches automatically when Windows launches. To disable autostart:
- Click.
- Go to System.
- In the Automatically launch browser when Windows launches section, select Never or If it was open on shutdown.
How do I change the context menu appearance?
What happens when browser settings are reset?
Resetting your browser settings means that the original settings will be restored:
- The default widgets will display on the Tableau.
- Your default search engine will be set for the SmartBox.
- All browser extensions will be disabled.
- Pinned tabs will be deleted.
- All personal information will be deleted.
To clear your browser settings:
- Tap .
- Go to System.
- At the bottom of the page, click Reset all settings.
- Confirm the reset.
How do I pin the browser to the taskbar?
From the Start menu or the desktop
- Right-click the Yandex Browser shortcut icon (on the desktop, or in the Start menu).
- Choose Pin to Taskbar.
To unpin the browser, choose Unpin from Taskbar.
From the taskbar
- Open Yandex Browser.
- Right-click the browser icon in the taskbar.
- Choose Pin to Taskbar.
To unpin the browser, choose Unpin from Taskbar.
How do I pin the browser to the first screen in the Start menu?
- Right-click the Yandex Browser shortcut icon.
- Choose Pin to Start.
To undo this, choose Unpin from Start.
How to restore standard Linux window appearance
By default, the Yandex Browser beta version doesn't use the Linux system window frame and changes control design. If you wish to restore the standard appearance of windows and controls on Linux:
- In the SmartBox, enter browser://flags.
- Type the #enable-system-frame flag in the search bar.
- Select the System window controls option.
- Relaunch the browser and check the results.
