How power saving mode works

The most in-demand programs today are browsers. The browser allows you to receive and send mail, make online purchases, play games, listen to music, and watch films. You can have several dozen sites open simultaneously in the browser, including web apps that demand substantially more memory resources and energy. If you are working on a laptop that is not connected to a power source, the battery level will decrease faster due to the browser load.

If you want to conserve your battery, use power saving mode. In this mode, Yandex.Browser:

  • Background tabs become less active
  • Videocards are always used to play videos
  • FPS pages are reduced
  • Animations in browser elements are disabled if they expend a lot of processor resources
  • Background animation is disabled
  • Performs other functions to optimize power savings.
