Import data from browsers
The Yandex Browser beta version can transfer bookmarks, browsing history, and other settings from another browser installed on your computer.
Import settings automatically
During installation, Yandex Browser suggests transferring your settings from the browser that was set as default. The type of data that is imported depends on the operating system and browser it is imported from.

Disable automatic setting imports
- During the browser installation

During Yandex Browser installation, the Import your data tab opens and you can choose not to automatically import browser settings by default:
- Make sure that your default browser is selected in the drop-down list.
- Click Skip.
- To confirm that you don't want to import your settings, click Continue in the Yandex Browser will restart window that opens.
- If you closed the “Import your data” tab

- Open the browser://activation/ page in the browser.
- In the drop-down list, choose the browser that your settings were automatically imported from.
- Click Skip.

Manually import settings
After you have installed the Yandex Browser beta version, you can import your settings manually. For example, you might want to import settings from a browser other than your default browser or only import some of your settings.
To import settings:
- Tap .
- In the Synching section, click Import data.
- In the window that opens, select the browser you want to import your data from.
- Select which data you want to transfer (tabs, bookmarks, passwords etc.).
- Click Import.
