A tracking pixel (or a pixel) is a tool which allows you to work with the audience of your ads. When you create a pixel, you can make it part of your ads. The pixel collects cookies of the users who view your ad. You can use this data to configure how ads are served in Yandex.Direct or with segments based on pixels. For example, you can serve ads about special offers for your store to those who saw your ad on the main page of your website in the past month.
Tracking pixels can be embedded in ads that are placed not only on the Yandex Advertising Network, but also other ad networks.
Creating and inserting pixels
In the Pixels tab, click Create pixel and enter its name. A pixel code will be generated.
Copy your pixel code from Yandex.Audience. In Yandex.Display, choose the ad you wish to add the pixel to and click . In the Yandex.Audience Pixel field, paste in the code you copied earlier. If this field is not available in the properties of an ad, then it means you cannot insert pixels. In this case, try selecting a different ad type.
Copy your pixel code from Yandex.Audience. In Yandex.Direct, create or edit an ad group in a media campaign. Choose the selected ad and in the Yandex.Audience Pixel field, paste in the code you copied earlier.
To manage your pixels, click . You can create segments based on pixels, rename pixels or delete them. Pixels cannot be deleted until all segments based on them have also been deleted.
Indicated in a pixel's row is its coverage for a week, for 30 days, and for 90 days. Pixels are automatically updated regularly, therefore their coverage is always relevant.

You cannot grant access to pixels to other users. You can use only your pixels to create segments.
