Pixel

Pixel is a tool to work with your media advertising audience. Pixel collects anonymous IDs of the users who have seen your banners. Use this data to tune the impressions criteria in Yandex.Direct or Yandex.Display with the pixel-based segment. For example, you can show ads about your store's special offers to the users who have viewed the main page banner this month.

You can embed Pixel in advertisements that are placed not only in the Yandex Advertising Network, but also in other advertising networks.

    Creating and installing the pixel

    In Yandex.Audience, in the Pixels tab, click the Create pixel button and enter a name. The pixel code is generated.

    In order for a pixel to start collecting anonymous cookies from users, insert its code into an ad by using Yandex.Display or Yandex.Direct. You can place the same pixel in any number of banners.

    Note. You can install pixels only on some types of banners.
    1. In Yandex.Audience, in the pixel row, click the button and copy the pixel code.
    2. In Yandex.Display, choose the ad and click .
    3. In the Yandex.Audience pixel field, insert the copied code. If the ad properties don't have this field, the pixel can't be installed. Try choosing a banner of another type.

    Managing the pixel

    To manage your pixels, click . You can create a pixel-based segment , rename or delete a pixel. Deleting is only possible if you delete all segments based on the pixel.

    The pixel row shows its coverage in 7, 30 and 90 days. Pixel coverage meaning is regularly and automatically updated if the pixel-based segment is used by at least one advertising campaign in Yandex.Direct or Yandex.Display. Otherwise, the pixel reach is not recalculated.

    You can't grant access to the pixel for another user. You can only use your pixels to create segments.
