Banner Slider

Description

Banner Slider is a banner that displays an image slider.

You can use the following banner features in Adfox:

  • Install 2 to 9 slides.
  • Set up a click link in one of the following ways: use one link for all slides, use different links for each slide, or set up a non-clickable banner without links.
  • Set up autosliding, which only occurs if the banner is viewable in the browser window.
  • Set up slide navigation buttons.
  • Use banner block classes, which allow you to change the styles of slide navigation buttons or arrows.

Image requirements

  1. Prepare the images for the slides.
  2. The image always fits into the banner size and is in the centre. If the image and banner proportions don't match, empty spaces appear on the left and right or at the top and bottom.
  3. We recommend that you make all your images the same width and height.
  4. The weight of each image can't exceed the allowed limit in the account (by default, 300 KB).

Event count

Events 1–9 for counting clicks on slides

If you set the same click link to the Click URL No. 1 parameter for all slides, Event No. 1 (a click on slide 1) is called when the user clicks any slide.

If every slide has its own click link, the slide click event is called according to the slide number.

Events 22–30 for counting slide impressions

The banner counts the events of the number of impressions for each slide.

A slide impression is counted only once for one banner load. Repeat scrolls aren't counted.

Add a banner to Adfox

To add a banner to Adfox, select the necessary banner type and the Banner Slider Images [context] template.

Set the banner parameters:

  1. TARGET links: Select the window where the background image link opens:
    • _top: Current window.
    • _blank: New window or tab, depending on the browser settings.
  2. Tracking pixel link: By default, the Adfox //banners.adfox.ru/transparent.gif pixel is used. If you want to count impressions in a third-party system, delete the Adfox pixel and specify another link.
  3. Click URL No. 1 .. Click URL No. 9: Enter the link to the advertiser's site.
    • If you don't specify the links, the banner is non-clickable.
    • If you specify just one link in Click URL No. 1, but upload more slides, this link applies to all of them.
    • If you specify a link for every slide, every slide has its own click link.

For the click to work correctly, make sure that the link includes the protocol (http:// or https://).

  4. Image No. 1 .. Image No. 9: Upload from 2 to 9 slide images.
  5. Banner width (in px or %): Specify the banner width.
  6. Banner height (px): Specify the banner height.
  7. Autoslide time (in seconds): The time between automatic slide switches (in seconds). If you set it to 0, autosliding doesn't occur.
  8. Disable autoslide on mouse hover (yes or no): Specify whether to disable autosliding in the banner if the user's cursor is above the slider.
  9. Show pagination (yes or no): Specify whether to show the slide switch buttons:
    • yes: Show the buttons.
    • no: Don't show the buttons. At the same time, the slide arrows are shown.
  10. Under Advertising label settings:
    • In the Ad label list, select “Ad” or “Social ad”, and the label will be added to the banner. If the creative's design already includes the label, you can keep “Disabled” in the drop-down list.
    • In the Domain field, specify the advertiser domain, and it will be added to the label: "Advertising" | example.com or "Social advertising" | example.com (only if you select “Advertising” or “Social advertising” in the drop-down list).
  11. To add a token to a non-clickable banner, enable the Show banner menu option in the banner settings. When the banner is served, the menu icon  will be displayed in the upper right corner of it. When a user clicks this icon, the advertiser information and the copy token button appear (if ad register is enabled for the banner and a third-party token is specified).

The banner menu contains a link to the rules for using recommendation technologies. That is necessary to comply with paragraph 3, section 1, article 10.2-2 of Federal Law No. 149-FZ “On information, information technologies, and information protection”, dated July 27, 2006.

Important. If a banner is non-clickable (the Transition URL field is not filled in) and it is to be added to the ad register, be sure to show the banner menu. This is the only way to make the token available when serving the banner.
  12. Settings for Russian ad register: The section is only available if the Submit data to state register procedure is selected in the campaign settings. Fill in the fields in this section to register the creative in the Yandex advertising data operator. The creative is assigned a token automatically.
