Haneda Airport (HND) stands for cleanliness, order and convenience. You arrive and immediately feel like you're in Japan: perfect toilets, friendly staff, no chaos. A huge plus is the proximity to the city (20 minutes by train) and fantastic transport accessibility. Inside is a real city: delicious ramen, conveyor sushi, shops with Tokyo Banana and even an outdoor terrace overlooking Fuji. For the tired, there are free showers and capsule hotels. But there is also a fly in the ointment, which you need to be aware of in advance.: 1. Immigration control. Queues for foreigners can be hellish (for an hour or more), even if you arrive at night. 2. The airport is closed for the night. If you have a late arrival or an early departure, you will not be able to stay there. You'll just be put outside (seriously, tested by people in winter). Verdict: The best airport for daytime living, but a real trap for those who plan to meet the dawn there. If you fly during the day, enjoyment is guaranteed.
