A visit to the beer restaurant "Rakovsky Brovar" left me with positive impressions. I ordered a tasting beer set, tinctures and several dishes, and everything turned out to be delicious. Fresh and pleasant beer, excellent tinctures. The service was courteous and the presence of live music added a pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant turned out to be spacious, with a varied menu, where everyone can find something to their liking.
Interestingly, the building where the Rakovsky Brovar is located has a rich history, dating back to 1882, when it was built for a synagogue. Over time, it served various purposes, including a dance hall and a cinema. The brewery restaurant opened its doors in 1997, becoming the first such institution in Minsk.
A great restaurant, maybe the best one I've visited. It is located in the old center of Minsk. It's great to get there: from the metro or the Nemiga stop, past the Church of Peter and Paul through the courtyard on the street.Rakovskaya with a turn to Vitebsk, 10 - and you are on the spot. Outside - the facade of the Jewish yeshiva - the school of Jewish rabbis, unchanged since its construction, inside - the interior of a two-light restaurant hall with an elegant central staircase to the mezzanine. At the bottom there is a beautiful bar counter, around it and on top of the mezzanine there are tables for visitors for different company sizes. There is a summer playground. It's cozy inside. The menu is very diverse, Belarusian folk and Russian cuisine prevail, but it can't do without excellent European dishes. Good wine list. The masterpiece of the institution is 7 varieties of beer of its own brewing. We ordered unfiltered wheat and were not mistaken: soft, without bitterness, with a pleasant malt taste. The menu has its own smoked dishes, ordered pork ribs - you can't tear them off by the ears! They also ordered sturgeon boiled in white wine. There is a nuance here: the menu has a price for 100 grams of sturgeon, but the whole fish is cooked to order at once and brought whole on a platter, with you it is cut into portions. The whole fish weighs 500-600 gr. It was not possible to eat it completely, the rest was not put in a container, then 2 portions were finished at home. Because of the whole fish, the total amount of the menu was pulled by 225rub. If it was for the company, it wouldn't be noticeable at all, but it's not scary anyway. The service is good, the visit left a pleasant impression.
