In November 2023, we visited the Museum of the cat). Very warm atmosphere: many visitors with children. There are pet cats everywhere, photos, children's drawings, cat figurines (unfortunately they do not sell). Nice interior. Wonderful volunteer girls. If we were locals, we would definitely take one pet into the family.
Unfortunately, the museum exists only on donations. The administration of the city of Minsk could consider the possibility of at least not taking money for the rent of the premises. We need to help our younger brothers who are in a difficult life situation: many pets are disabled.
THE BEST PLACE! It's the best time to go out on the weekend. There is a cafe with tea and coffee in the room, and a bowl of sweets next to it. You can draw a picture and leave it. Seals are everywhere and they go to iron themselves. Very cheap and cool. The atmosphere of the class. You can also buy a souvenir with a cat that you liked. I FOUND MY FIRST CAT HERE!!! Lucy's name is. She came to her knees. There are calm cats, there are noisy and energetic ones. All vaccinated and clean. I ADVISE EVERYONE TO GO!
You probably need to love cats very much to put 5 stars. It is a very kind, cozy, beautiful place, but the smell spoils everything. Inside, it is clean, organized, friendly, the smell is being tried to disguise with incense sticks, the aroma of which is mixed with feline. The children were delighted to communicate with the shaggy ones, but going there, be prepared
It's great that there is a place in Minsk where you can "pet cats" and play. The museum has everything for a comfortable stay, a cafe with tea, coffee and water, a toilet, even a children's area where children can draw a cat and this picture will be hung on the wall. It's a great idea. The only thing the star was removed for was an acrid unpleasant smell. The kittens are all wonderful and can even be taken home!!
A pleasant place. You can pet cats, drink tea, buy souvenirs, and draw. There are a lot of cats, all different: some playful, some affectionate. There are several rooms with sofas and tables. The only negative is the distinct, not the most pleasant smell of cats. But, given their number, this is not surprising. The staff is very polite. The impression remained good
Initially, I want to warn you: This is not a museum. There are statuettes, drawings of seals from visitors, themed merch, but the institution rather combines the functions of a shelter for seals and a time cafe.
But I don't see a downside to this. This is not a shelter, there are no endless rows of cramped cages, the animals are in complete freedom of movement inside the institution. And it's also not the unenviable fate of a street animal. Once inside, you get the opportunity to chat with the guests, drink tea (while you are being crushed by clawed paws), play checkers in silence, or even shelter a cat sunk into the heart. The money earned for your visit will help the cats living there.
Now about the cons: the building is old, the interior is worn out. Despite the effort of the staff to clean everywhere, there is a characteristic smell.
Why do I give five stars? I really want to attract people to this place, because I believe that the idea is great, and if the institution gets good attendance, problems with cleanliness, repair and filling of interiors will be resolved, the conditions of stay of both cats and guests will improve.
From myself to the staff: do not give up, you are well done :
It's funny, interesting, and emotional... Creative approach in the design. There is hot tea, cookies, which is important in the winter cold. 💁♀️
Seals can be petted, there are several breeds. 👌😁 But, there are very few of them. 🤷♀️ I would recommend getting pets.
This is not a museum. Rather a cat cafe, but you need to take into account that there is not a very good smell and not all cats look healthy. This is partly due to the fact that they immediately say that cats are taken from the street for overexposure, they are looking for owners, and they are treated and vaccinated. This may be the reason for the bad smell. On the one hand, it's good, they work as a shelter, but you could invest more in your business, connect more charity. It is possible to keep new animals temporarily somewhere else (I have seen options with glass walls), to learn from the experience of other cats.
There are several paintings/prints from the museum and several cabinets with various figurines. It is more aimed at spending time with cats.
That's what will never go out of fashion - it's kindness!!! A very cozy place, incredibly polite and kind people from the staff. Seals are a miracle! Sweet buns🤗
Yes, there is a smell, but these are small things. The guys are doing a great job, for this only respect, respect and only respect!
We were "lucky" to look into this museum somehow.... I immediately remembered the days when I was sick with a crown and did not feel the smells ... When I entered, I immediately felt the stunning "aroma" of a cat's toilet, chilling to tears. Yes, the idea is cool, the idea is cool, but it would also be cool to keep it clean. They offer tea with sweets, but it is unclear how it can be drunk in such conditions? Yes, there are seals who mark the territory, but I think for the money that they pay at the entrance, they could be castrated. Hands are disinfected at the entrance, but after visiting the museum you will not wash off the smell. I don't understand how people work there and at the same time smile and cheerfully greet visitors. We saw only 4 seals, and it stank like all 24 …
There are a lot of cats, a lot of creativity, any visitor can cuddle cats and draw a picture, of which there are a lot, it is interesting to walk around and examine the creativity of people of different ages and from different cities not only in Belarus.
The price is slightly too high for such an institution IMHO, for two adults and a child - 49byn (by the way, it is cheaper in the WWII museum). People who perceive odors should avoid this place. Cats are all stressed out in principle (there is little room, of course). Creativity is good, implementation is lame. + For a good cause (you can take any cat with you - they are all "brooches"). In general, a place for people who do not have the opportunity to pet or "feel" cats or cats, as well as children who are not allowed to have a cat at home. If you are one of the above-mentioned, go in
The museum is very good. The girl who is there, you are super, kind, responsive. The cats are all cute, good, I wanted to take that little black girl who wouldn't let anyone in, but I stroked her))) But, alas, I'm from another city, and I'm constantly on the move. There is tea and coffee, there is a toilet. Good impressions
Great place! I recommend bringing your kids there, chatting with cats and cats, drawing a portrait of a cat, and having a good time.
The organizers of this museum are great fellows!
The place is pleasant for animal lovers. Seals with a history. Cripples, abandoned. You can take it home forever and love it. In addition to those in the museum, there is also a dock. Coffee, tea, sweets are included in the ticket price. You can draw your pet as a souvenir or express the emotions of a visit in a drawing. Cats are different: dormice, playful, spiteful. The place is atmospheric.
An interesting place to come and play with cats. All cats are affectionate, they make contact easily. There is a corresponding smell in the museum itself, but not strong, although judging by the condition of the floor, not all cats go to the tray, so be careful)))
But the idea is great, they take care of and, if possible, put the seals in good hands)))
Not what I expected. A shelter for cats where you can look at them, pet them and take them home. Cats are normal, sleeping, well-fed, satisfied, they don't need anything. They live well.
Children and adults can pet pets, play checkers, and drink tea. There are many drawings drawn there.
Once again, this is not a MUSEUM)
There is no museum and exhibits, there is tea, cats and drawings...
In general, a very touching and even peaceful place, but not a museum!
The price is off the charts. SOOOOO EXPENSIVE!
05.2024 ~ 1200₽ for three. Two adults and a child
Cool museum. The children liked it very much. You can play walking, draw your cat on paper and stick it on. there's a huge collection of drawings there. Cats are calm, give themselves to be stroked, climb on their knees, there is even a small cafe where you can drink tea, eat goodies. If desired, the cat can be picked up from the museum. We were there for a long time. The delight is complete
The fuzzies are all very nice, friendly, and all very good at making contact. It was incredibly pleasant to relax in the museum and chat with the fuzzies🥰🥰🥰
We visited this place with children. They gave 58 rubles, which is not a little, but it wasn't worth the money, after a minute I wanted to leave. The smell is terrible, now there are so many remedies for the smell of animals that could be used. The windows are small, the room is not ventilated. The cats were all asleep. There's nothing for the kids to do there.
I would call this place not a museum, but a shelter for cats, more correctly.
I understand that cats need to be kept, but the price for visits is very high! It would be better if the price was lower, but it was possible to make donations or buy animal feed than that.
I put 3 stars only out of love for animals, but we feel sorry for the "thrown away" money, and then we couldn't get rid of the smell in our nose for a few more hours.

The museum is conveniently located, the staff is friendly and helpful. The museum itself is small, located in a former communal apartment. The kids like it. Not really for adults. Of course, there is a specific smell of cats' vital activity, you either get used to it and do not pay attention, or you want to leave as soon as possible!
It's amazing!
I didn't think there was such a place in the world!
I bow low to the people who organized this. Everything is very cool and cute)
I recommend it to everyone!
5 out of 5
Do not pay attention to what negative reviews are writing, I was at the museum today and I will say that people are very excellent and wonderful towards cats, and saved their already difficult lives, now they live very paradisiacally.
The smell of a room in which a lot of cats with aroma sticks does not particularly interrupt, the cats are cute, there are a couple of meanies, and so there are very sociable and some climb to sit on their knees, Someone without a paw, someone without an eye, but all are cute
The "museum" left contradictory impressions. On the one hand, it seems like a good idea to do something informal in our favorite city. And I want it to stay in him. On the other hand, an unreasonable entrance fee is charged. The maximum can be sustained for 15-20 minutes there. Because the smell makes its way through all the incense that has been placed throughout the museum. They don't save. The smell of cat urine breaks through all the disguises. But this is not the most important thing. Cats scratch! The museum contains not little kittens-guys, but real mature kittens. And it is better not to touch them, especially during feeding. And so - everything is fine🤗
Of the advantages, you can take any cat with you
of the cons:
1) pungent smell due to incense on every corner mixed with urine, the head starts to hurt after 10 minutes,
2) I felt sad for a dog that eats cat food (instead of special food)
3) at lunch, 90% were asleep, and the remaining 10% did not make contact and did not react to toys, they were obviously tired of attention
4) some cats have dirty eyes, look sick or insufficiently groomed
The idea is good, and the execution is 3/10. A terrible stench, all the cats seem to be sick, small children climb to the sleeping cats, and the workers do not react.: as I understood, the employee poured 20 pieces for the cats, probably Dreamies treats, if not more, but they can only have 15 per day. Cats don't seem to be cared for. They offered treats, but the smell is even nauseating. In general, it's a waste of money and time:(
The cats don't seem to be cleaned and the museum is generally poorly maintained. The smell is unbearable. It is felt from the 1st floor at the entrance . It is simply impossible to be inside on the 3rd floor. It is scary to imagine the conditions in which animals are kept and hygiene is not provided to them.
It's not the first time there, we really like it) When you walk around the city, this is one of those quiet places where you can go and relax) And it's good for you and the cats to have financial support)
It's a creepy place! I definitely do not recommend it. We went there with my husband and child. Already on the stairs it was clear where we were going - it smelled of cats, but when I entered the room of the so-called museum, I could not stay there, because I barely restrained the gag reflex from the unbearable smell of urine.
Why this room, which is actually a shelter, is called a museum, I do not understand!
There is nothing to do there, semi-wild cats roam, the child tried to stroke one, he hissed and almost scratched. The receptionist said, "It's better not to touch most of the animals here." The cat immediately came up and, raising his paw, peed around the corner of the room🤦
The price of the ticket is unreasonably high, for such money you can go to an art gallery and other museums.
It would be fair to call yourself a shelter for homeless animals and collect donations
15-20 cats from the street, is this a museum? Why mislead people? There is a strong smell, I want to leave as soon as possible. The interior is missing, everything is old and dead.
I don't recommend it.It is better to give the money to a shelter for cats. All cats can be viewed and petted in 10 minutes. My daughter didn 't like it either . There is nothing to watch and nothing to do.
There is an unpleasant smell, due to the high content of animals, a couple of small windows are open. But otherwise everything is great, fluffy lumps are running around the place, you can draw your cat and leave it on the wall with drawings. There are many different figures with seals and magnets on sale. They also offer to warm up with hot tea with sweets.
It's a terrible place.
The cats who live there are tortured, they are clearly ill.
The room stinks of an untidy cat toilet so that your eyes water and your clothes need to be washed.
They gave 40 rubles for three, no pleasure, just upset.
We could buy a normal clay toilet filler for cats and put more trays
In fact, this is a shelter focused on attracting people through a bit of entertainment. There are many paintings and figurines with cats, a cool interior, there is a children's room, there is a room where you can drink tea (not a cafe at all).
Nothing special. There are cats, there were a couple of friendly ones, they let themselves be stroked, others were aggressive, they could scratch. There is a smell. The tickets are expensive, but it's like a charity rather. The owner is a good man. Thanks to him. There are a lot of drawings of cats hanging on the wall. Cool.
Yes, it smells like cats. But cats live there! Should it smell like fish or hippos? Cats are normal, healthy. If you don't violate their personal space, no one gets scratched. You look at the mood, whether the cat wants contact or not. Many were petted, they liked it, or were indifferent, but not aggressive. It's a lie about the washbasin, there is a sink and soap, we washed our hands both before and after cats. The price is also a purely personal matter, there is an opportunity to assess before entering whether you can afford it, so that later you do not scribble "expensive" in the reviews. While the children were interacting with the cats, we were playing checkers. The guy from the staff was alone, very polite. The only thing I would like to do is take off my shoes and undress at the entrance. Still, cats don't want to wear dirt from the street on their shoes.
This is not a museum, but a shelter for cats
The smell is terrible, there are a lot of means to eliminate the smell, use
The idea is cool, but the implementation has failed
It's not worth your money, it's better to give the money separately to an animal shelter
This is the most annoying deception, they recruited cats from the street and rented the cheapest room, the smell of urine is unbearable, they take money for the entrance, think about it. 12 rubles for children and 15 rubles for adults. The positive reviews here are unambiguously drawn.
We were with my son today. We really liked it, yes the smell is present, but not as critical as they write. My son is 12 years old, he is glad that we did not succumb to the influence of reviews and came. The employees are friendly, they do a great job. Cats are different and old and small. Children visitors are happy))) and this is the most important thing. We advise you to visit, and so look at your perception of the world)
Not a museum, but rather a shelter... The smell is creepy. It is not clear how people drink tea with cookies with such a smell... I want to escape from there as quickly as possible. The entrance ticket is expensive. The seals are good. But not a museum.
