⚠️ READ BEFORE BOOKING! This isn’t a regular negative review! We faced serious, potentially life-threatening health risks and financial exploitation. We are a doctor couple who stayed with our baby and school-age child. All four of us became seriously ill — with confirmed rotavirus (a faecal-to-oral contamination!). The hotel conditions were shocking: Mouse running freely on our Family Swim-Up room balcony! Imagine your children crawling and playing right where rodents roam. They eventually caught it using a glue trap stuck to a water bottle, taped onto a broom handle — a crude and shocking method in a supposedly family-friendly hotel. Severe insect infestation — our children had >10 only on the face, and adults in intimate areas. After complaints, they recognised it wasn’t normal and sent Pest Control Team. We were barred from entering our room. We were seriously concerned being exposed to toxic pesticides (clothes, towels, baby items…) but no alternative room was available. Yes, the bites stopped after decontamination — but at what cost? We're still worried about how much pesticide we may have absorbed. Suspected faecal contamination — whether from food, pool water, or elsewhere — we don’t know. But the result was clear: we all became ill. Then came the financial exploitation. Although recently vaccinated, our baby daughter became dangerously unwell. The hotel doctor referred to a “partner” private hospital where our daughter was admitted. We were emotionally distressed, exhausted, and pressured to pay €1,800 (down from €2,058) with false reassurance it would be reimbursed by insurance — it wasn’t. (Later, Egyptian doctor friends and insurance brokers confirmed it’s a known scam — involving private hospitals and certain hotels, to exploit foreign tourists. The same treatment should’ve cost only €200–300. It got worse: My older daughter and I deteriorated back home — she was hospitalised with severe infection and blood gas abnormalities, needing multiple IV treatments and repeated ABGs. The stress, the fear, and the trauma we went through was unbearable. The hotel’s dangerous hygiene failures ruined our long-awaited holiday, endangered our children's health, and cost us thousands. Formal complaints were ignored. As a doctor and parent, I need to inform you; AVOID THIS HOTEL. You’re not just risking a poor stay — You’re risking your health, your children’s safety, and being financially exploited through a deeply unethical setup!
