One of the best in downtown Almaty. Not cheap, but not crazy expensive. And yes, you expect this in the most remote from the seas country. The choice is not that extensive, but superbly prepared and served with heart and dignity. Well done guys! P.s. Better to reserve the seats. The place is rapidly getting popular

Superb place, hideout for Russian Bath (Banya) lovers. Men only, but heard that female section is under construction. All traditions of bathing are carefully preserved, with a twist of Kazakh touch. Every hour the main Russian style sauna offers the “loily” way (in Finish) when the hot air out of the stove is blown with a special fan. Not everybody is able to withstand that challenge. Nice cafeteria with variety of refreshments including local food and much anticipated beer. The check is relatively moderate. Weekends are a bit crowded, so wisely choose the time to avoid the “sauna stampede”. In general: 5 out 5
