Until today, our experience at Varpet had always been positive. The atmosphere and service had consistently been at a high level, and we genuinely enjoyed visiting the café. Unfortunately, today’s experience completely changed our impression. Today we were served by an employee named Hasmik, whose attitude was highly disrespectful and unprofessional. When we asked to change our table, we were told in a rather rude manner that we “had no right” to do so. When we suggested an alternative solution, we were told that it was “our problem.” Instead of calmly and respectfully explaining the situation, the entire interaction was marked by a negative and dismissive attitude. Throughout the service, it often felt as though the customer was being blamed for every inconvenience, which made for a very unpleasant experience. As someone who works in the service industry and owns a business, I understand very well the importance of respectful communication and quality customer service. That is precisely why this behavior was especially disappointing. Additionally, at the checkout area, while we were picking up our coffees, the employee physically pushed past us without any warning or polite request to make way. Afterwards, she complained that she had asked us to move, although we had not heard any clear request or warning. It is disappointing that a place we have always associated with excellent service left such a negative impression today. We hope management will pay attention to this incident and address this employee’s inappropriate behavior, as treating customers with respect is the foundation of any service business.
