We had a transfer in Muscat at 16 hours with an overnight stay. We wanted to visit the Qaboos Mosque. The hotel is perfectly positioned for this. In the evening, we got from the airport to the hotel by bus A1 to the Oman LNG stop (the main thing at the airport is to get to the Ruwi station), then walk for 10 minutes. In the morning we walked to the mosque, about 20 minutes at a leisurely pace. Very good breakfast, clean rooms, but the hotel has a club, it may be a little noisy at night, we passed out from the flight, nothing bothered us. On the top floor, you can smoke a hookah at a reasonable price and drink beer (beer is very expensive).
