On June 14, 2026, we visited the SPAR store in Tbilisi. We made a regular purchase and paid with a 100 lari bill.The cashier gave out a total of 50,60 lari in change. We immediately realized that we had to give more than this amount in change. When we returned and politely pointed out the error, the reaction was shocking: the cashier first waved us off, then began to "search for a long time" for the receipt, as if trying to confuse the situation and pretended that she did not remember us, although one person was served after us.Having failed to find the receipt, we were given 10 lari (it is unclear how the cashier knew how much to add if she said she did not remember our purchase), but even then the change turned out to be 0.18 tetris less than the required amount, probably due to negligence or deliberate rounding. By the way, the check was "found" after we were given the missing change. No apologies, no politeness, just the silent fulfillment of what was already a duty. And all the receipts are in Georgian, so we couldn't check what and how much it costs. Maybe initially we were considered more than necessary and the amount should have been less than GEL 39.22. But we don't know that anymore. It is a pity that the reputation of a large and respected network like SPAR is suffering because of individual employees who clearly do not respect customers. It feels like the change is being deliberately underpaid in order to keep the difference. , Advice to everyone: Ask for a receipt, check the prices on the counter with the prices in the receipts. Count the money twice — and immediately at the checkout. Feel free to request a recalculation, call the administrator and leave a complaint. Your attentiveness is the only thing that keeps someone from being dishonest. SPAR, please pay attention to the service in this store. Customers deserve more.
