We have been planning to visit Belarus for a long time, and now we have arrived for the May holidays. One of the objects in our tour plan was the Hero Fortress Brest. We drove from Minsk by car and the route was laid out precisely to the Northern Gate. The inspection began from here. True, it was Monday and the museums were closed, but we were counting on individual support and were not mistaken. Andrey, the tour guide, met us on the territory. I started the tour from the North Gate. The day was sunny and warm. Everything is blooming, green, birds are singing. The guide told me very interesting historical facts in a temporary order. The history of the fortress itself from the beginning to the present day. We were impressed!!!! The history of the fortress, the fate of the people who built it, the history of protection and the fate of the people who defended it. Part of the fortress was restored with a view to preserving it as a legacy for posterity. The North gate too. They were the ones who greeted us with their austerity of architecture and monumentality. We were satisfied!!!
