I am incredibly impressed by the visit to the Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War in Minsk! This is not just an exhibition, but a grandiose monument to human courage, which touches to the depths of the soul from the very first seconds. We were incredibly lucky to walk through the halls with an amazing guide, whose deep, lively and emotional stories literally brought the story to life. The scale of the exhibits is amazing: real military equipment and aircraft, presented in real scale one to one, as well as detailed reconstructions of battles combined with sound effects, take you back to the harsh past. Thanks to the talent of the guide and modern interactive installations, we not only looked at the shop windows, but deeply felt the tragedy and greatness of those years. The stunning Hall of Fame under the glass dome became the emotional finale of the tour, which caused sincere tears of pride and gratitude. Many thanks to the management for preserving the memory and to the guide for the highest professionalism — every guest of Minsk is obliged to visit here with an excursion!

Walking through the halls dedicated to the genocide and the concentration camps, there are tears in my throat, so much grief and pain. The exhibition of Savitsky's paintings certainly makes a strong impression. You can feel the atmosphere of the guerrilla unit, the heroic struggle of the people against the invaders. The museum is huge and very interesting, you can explore it on your own, without an excursion (we took an audio guide, we had). The main stages of the war are marked, but, of course, special attention is paid to the events in Belarus. There are interactive screens with information and quarkodes for some exhibits, you can learn more than what is written on the label, you can sit down in several places and watch the chronicles. And at the end of the route, the exit under the dome to the Victory Hall is just great. If you get very tired and hungry, there is a cafe in the museum. We got a cold drink, a chicken dranik, and a mors - it was quite good.

The Museum of the Great Patriotic War in Minsk is a must-visit place! Inside, the exposition is built in such a way that you immerse yourself in history from the very first minutes. The hall with military equipment is especially striking, here you can see tanks, cannons, and military vehicles up close. Some of the exhibits are authentic, and some are models and three-dimensional figures of soldiers who look like they are alive. There is a mock-up of the fighting. There is a children's room on the ground floor. There are games, quizzes, you can take pictures in military clothes, with a machine gun. You can book a tour at the museum, but we were on our own, it was still very informative, there are detailed descriptions everywhere. Suitable for both adults and children. One of the disadvantages is a small parking lot, there are few places. After the museum, you can stroll through the nearby park. I recommend it to everyone who comes to Minsk.

We were very impressed after visiting the museum! The exhibition is really large-scale: there are authentic documents from the war years, personal belongings of the participants, real military equipment, and detailed dioramas of battles. There is a large park area around the museum with monuments and installations. The museum itself has exhibitions in 10 themed halls and at the end the Hall of Fame. When visiting Minsk, you should definitely visit this place. The atmosphere itself, realistic compositions, historical exhibits, including photos, reproductions, videos, words cannot convey, came out with wet eyes and a lump in her throat. We had a vacation with my son in Minsk in June. We visited the WWII Museum. The museum is very good, there is a lot of equipment, exhibitions, paintings. We really enjoyed it. Special thanks to our guide Anna Lukashevich. This is a tour guide with a Capital letter. How many times have we been on excursions, in my life this is the first guide who talked so interestingly and fascinatingly, I felt emotionally everything I talked about, to the tears of the visitors. I liked the museum. We took an individual tour. The tour lasted an hour, there was a lot of information about the Great Patriotic War, the partisan movement in Belarus, and military equipment of the Second World War. Mikhail Savitsky's paintings were especially touching. We visited the Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War in Minsk, and we are still impressed. This is not just an exhibition, but a story told through the fates of people. Personal items and letters attract attention — yellowed lines, small everyday details — they make the war frighteningly close and real. In the hall about the underground and the partisans, you seem to be transported back to those days — mock-ups of dugouts, homemade weapons, ciphers and radio transmitters show how ordinary people did the impossible in incredible conditions. A special impression is made by expositions that literally bring to life military and everyday scenes — realistic dioramas, recreated interiors, details of the situation, all this helps to see the war not as a set of dates, but as a series of human days full of hope and courage. The culmination of the route is the Victory Hall under the glass dome. After the partial shade of the previous halls, you find yourself in a bright, solemn space, and the emotions add up to one big feeling of gratitude. The museum is huge and very busy — take at least 2-3 hours to complete it without haste. If possible, take a guided tour or an audio guide — they reveal great details. We definitely recommend it. This is a place that I want to tell my family about.

An excellent museum that tells about the events of the Great Patriotic War in full: from the prerequisites related to the results of the First World War, through all the key battles, to the Belarusian battles and the partisan war. Authentic items and documents are presented. The exposition related to the atrocities of the fascists, the destruction of entire villages along with their inhabitants, is especially shocking: Khatyn was only one of 290. And more than 12,000 settlements were destroyed, about 2.5 million people were killed. The exhibition is being updated, telling about the work of search engines and modern excavations at the sites of mass killings. The museum has a children's center and a cafe where you can have a snack and eat ice cream at almost no extra charge.

The museum left an ambiguous impression. It seems that two teams worked, and the researchers and historians did a brilliant job - there was a lot of material, it was well divided into thematic groups, and those responsible for the presentation of the material did not think about it. The museum has problems with acoustics. It seems that the walls reflect even the sounds that should be muffled. Often, several guides broadcast to different groups in a small space. They shout over each other so that "their own" can be heard. We took an audio guide to be able to read, watch and go our own way. And they couldn't listen properly. I had to strain not to react to the guides. Caught in a cacophony of sounds ((. The work of the museum's creators is enormous. We would have walked through the halls ourselves on a normal day off and listened to how the museum sounds to visitors. And we would have improved it a little bit. There are ready-made solutions: for example, a headset for the guide and headphones for the group. Or audio guides for everyone. Now such opportunities are being brought to everyone, but they have not been used! In short, the museum is good, I hope it will get better. Without any doubt, thank you to those who carefully collected the material and to all Belarusians for talking about these difficult years. And yes, the dome of the building is magnificent. This is the best completion of the exhibition that is possible: the victory of light over darkness.

The whole family visited the museum with children aged 8 and 12. The experience is simply unforgettable! The scale is amazing, which is amazing from the very first minutes, both from the outside and from the inside. The expositions are thought out to the smallest detail, and the military equipment and installations are so realistic that they completely immerse themselves in history. Children (both 8 and 12 years old) they walked around with their mouths open — for them it's not just boring storefronts, but a visual and very powerful story. The only thing we sincerely regretted during the inspection was that we did not take the audio guide. There is a lot of information, the halls are huge, and with audio accompaniment, the immersion would be even deeper. I strongly advise anyone who is planning a visit not to repeat our mistake and take it immediately at the checkout. We were particularly pleased with the entourage cafe "Na Privale", located right in front of the entrance to the museum. It has very pleasant service and cool themed interior design. And another huge plus is that there are phone chargers on the tables. After actively photographing in the halls, it turned out to be mega-convenient and very useful. For us, everything we've seen will be a great reason to come back here again to go through the audio guide in detail and expand our knowledge. I recommend absolutely everyone to visit, this is a place of strength and memory!

The Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War is the first museum in the world dedicated to the history of the Second World War. It is located in a new building built in 2014, which was opened by the Presidents of Belarus and Russia.: A. G. Lukashenko and V. V. Putin. I was lucky enough to visit it on 12.10.2025, when it was raining heavily. The impressions of the visit are only positive and that's why: 1. The tour took place in a comfortable mode, the guide did not talk gibberish, but, as they say, "With feeling, with sense, with arrangement." Knowledgably. 2. The cost of visits and excursions is adequate, both cash and cards are accepted for payment, including the MIR system. 3. The halls are filled with samples of weapons, military equipment (tanks, planes, vehicles, guns), and mannequins of people, whose images are quite elaborate and they look like they are alive. 4. The grand memorial hall, the Victory Hall, is a gorgeous final destination for the tour and the exposition. The glass dome is decorated in the form of the dome of the Berlin Reichstag, over which the Soviet soldiers hoisted the red Victory banner in 1945. Therefore, nowadays it is the red banner symbolizing the Victory banner that flies over the museum building. The interior is clean and comfortable. There is a wardrobe, a gift shop. Please note that it will not be easy for people with limited mobility and children with disabilities to visit the museum halls, as there are ascents and descents, as well as steps. But I would also like to point out that the building has an elevator. There is more detailed information on this subject on the museum's website. I bow low and thank you very much to the brotherly Belarusian people for remembering and honoring our common Victory over the fascist beast! I definitely recommend visiting the museum!

Of course, it was more interesting for the child to just walk and watch, and I also listened to the guide, who quickly, clearly and clearly told and showed everything. The only thing was that it was inconvenient for me to get from the metro station. It's not a big deal, even though the museum is located in the historical part of Minsk, in the center. An amazing museum. It seems to me - The best in the territory of the former USSR on the topic of the Second World War. Be sure to see the legendary LI-2 aircraft live, which is located a little further from the museum. The composition is simply gigantic, and at the end it feels like walking through a giant maze. My son and I spent 4 hours in the museum and we didn't look at everything in detail, if everything is boring to look at at all, we need to come to the opening of the museum and come out with its closure)) And it's probably better to take an audio guide for full immersion. The museum has everything - a lot of photos, a lot of decorations / installations, a lot of real military equipment of that time. It is amazing to see the works of all the generations who have created such a huge collection.

We waited out the rain in the cafe at the museum, as it should be - we took the front-line hundred grams, everything is like at the front. Inside, the museum is divided into themed halls. The halls are interesting and rich - there are a lot of weapons, things, and equipment. Dioramas, life-size expositions- everything is as it should be. On the downside, it is not immediately clear what the stand or the exposition is dedicated to. In some places, there are a lot of photos and text that require explanations and are designed more for a guided visit, not solo. And navigation is lame.

Documents and photographic materials are presented, and there are a lot of exhibits. If you study and read everything in detail, you will have to walk for more than one day.
