I really liked the Mir Castle complex. There are many interesting locations inside. Rooms, halls, underground, prison and food cellars. I was struck by the extraordinary tapestries on the walls. They are very unusual and beautiful. Ceilings, stoves with unusual uses. It was interesting to explore. But inside the towers there are very steep steps, well, sooo... So if you have problems with your feet, be careful. A beautiful view of the pond opens from one of the towers. Small historical performances are held inside the square. We visited on our own, but we can also take guided tours. The entrance for adults is 22 Belarusian rubles (if I'm not mistaken), about 600 Russian rubles. The journey from Minsk took 1.5 hours by car. I recommend you to visit.

The Mir Castle Complex is a very interesting and unusual place, where a Gothic castle is combined with a palace (the Radziwills' summer residence). Therefore, being in it you will be able to see both the fortress and the beautiful halls where the balls were held. There are many interesting objects from different eras (furniture, dishes, outfits, tapestries, weapons, etc.), guided tours are conducted. You can climb the castle towers, its fortress wall, and descend into the dungeon. One warning - the old staircases are quite steep, so not everyone will be able to visit the towers. The castle itself has a hotel where you can live, a museum, a restaurant, and a souvenir shop. There is a beautiful lake nearby, so walking around the territory is very pleasant. In the evenings, the lights turn on, and the Mir Castle looks very interesting. Visit here if possible, you won't regret it.

Mir Castle is a typical medieval Gothic defensive castle, the easternmost of the Gothic castles. It is a powerful defensive structure with a rich history. He will be 500 years old in April 2027. And the online counter is already on: 500 days before the anniversary date, the countdown has begun. A visit to Mir Castle should be optimally combined with a visit to Nesvizh, from which it is very close (30 km). After visiting the Palace Ensemble in Nesvizh (4 hours with an audio guide), we ordered a taxi (inexpensive by Moscow standards (50 Belarusian rubles) and rushed out into the World. We got there in 25 minutes. Time was running out, but it seemed to us that an hour and a half was enough for a cursory inspection. We arrived at 5.15 p.m. on Monday. Rain, wind. There are almost no visitors. Backpacks and jackets were left in the storage cells. It turned out to be the right decision, because the cloakroom attendant was in a hurry before the museum closed and hurried the visitors, although the time was not up yet. And the camera didn't push us. The entrance ticket to Mir Castle turned out to be even more expensive than to Nesvizh (apparently, another region, Grodno, and Nesvizh in the Minsk region) and costs 22 rubles. There are no discounts for pensioners. The museum and the entrance to the castle are open Monday-Sunday: from 10.00 to 19.00. The museum ticket office is open until 18.20. You can buy an audio guide (costs 5 rubles). Mir Castle is remembered for its powerful walls and towers and basements, narrow spiral staircases and wide halls. The exhibition is located on three floors. Over the course of the epochs, the owners of the castle changed, and on the second floor and each of the dynasties (the Ilinichi, the Razdivills, the Wittgensteins, the Svyatopolk-Mirskys) separate halls were allocated, where chambers, dining rooms, living rooms and private offices were reproduced. The third floor is a portrait hall. A very interesting dungeon, visited the storerooms and the pub (wine cellars). An hour and a half flew by unnoticed, so we didn't have time to go to the towers (one of them has an exhibition on military subjects, the second one is about the ghetto and the tragedy of the population during the Nazi occupation). But literally at the last minute they managed to see the tomb of the last owners of the castle, the princes Svyatopolk—Mirsky. It's located in a park, and we ran because it was already 7:30 p.m., and a museum employee came with the keys to lock the tomb. But she not only gave us 5 minutes to inspect, but also told us a lot of interesting things. Very friendly staff!

We visited Mir Castle in March. It is better to get there by car, parking is available. There is no need to pay anything for the entrance to the courtyard. It is possible to order a personal guide or join a tour group and follow them). There is a museum with rooms in the castle itself. There are many interesting exhibits and the spirit of antiquity is present, and it's nice. There is a lake nearby, which adds additional beauty.I just want to take a barbecue, pickled meat and stand by the lake opposite the castle) and cook a barbecue on this background. In a word, beauty.

One of the business cards of Belarus. Definitely worth a visit. We were driving from Minsk. The parking lot in front of the castle is small, but we found a place to milk the car. We didn't take the tour, we examined everything ourselves. Tickets were bought on the spot. The exhibits are signed, and you can read the basic information. Climbing the towers is difficult. Very narrow stairs with high steps. We can't separate together. The park was under reconstruction. Nearby there are several souvenir shops and several places where you can have a snack.

Mir Castle is a stunning architectural monument that impresses with its majestic beauty and historical significance. Located in the town of Mir, it combines elements of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque. The castle is surrounded by a picturesque park and water, which adds to its charm. Inside, you can see beautifully preserved interiors and unique expositions telling about its rich history. The tours are fascinating. Mir Castle is an ideal place for lovers of history and architecture, as well as for those who want to enjoy the atmosphere of antiquity and beauty. Definitely worth a visit.

Tourist's review. Of course, this is not another castle with its charm to compare with Nesvizh, everything is restored, clean and well maintained. There is an atmosphere in the turrets and these narrow ascents, it is worth going through them all and not getting lost. The exposition is very rich, fireplaces, interior items with antique decorations, and many historical artifacts. There is an interesting territory and a park area, and craft workshops sell their crafts and souvenirs. The courtyard is amazing, the real medieval atmosphere, stone walls, paving, an ancient well are very atmospheric photos. The whole tour is about an hour, maximum 1.5 entrance is 20 BYN. There is a restaurant and a hotel in the basement. There are a couple of cafes on the adjacent territory, everything is busy during rush hour, waiting for an order for 15-25 minutes, mainly serving large tourist groups. There is nothing to do in the village itself, just a couple of shops, a post office and an ATM. All the sights and cafes near the castle. You can get from Minsk without any problems, from the bus station of the village to the castle on foot for about 7 minutes, everything is nearby, and back the same way. There are no queues, there is enough room for everyone, the only thing when moving through the towers is to skip the flow, sometimes you have to stand for five minutes, you can't walk through narrow openings together, some ascents are very difficult, there is nothing to do here with claustrophobia.

A fabulous dive into the Middle Ages! 🏰 An amazing place that surpassed all expectations! Mir Castle itself looks like a gingerbread house from a fairy tale, very well maintained and photogenic. There is a huge exhibition inside, from knight's armor to restored wine cellars. The atmosphere, the beautiful ponds around the castle for walking, the excellent restaurant in the basement with national cuisine.Travel advice, be sure to wear comfortable shoes without heels. The steps in the castle towers are very steep, narrow and spiral — it will be difficult to climb in shoes.

It is an extremely beautiful place, clean /tidy in the area around the castle, a lake with ducks, flower beds. Fascinating tour, souvenir shop, restaurant. A castle with a history, sometimes heavy and sad. Expositions with spiral staircases and gorgeous stoves. Parking is available, but very tight. There are cafes and souvenir shops across the street, where the price tag is significantly lower.

We arrived at the opening and almost immediately the castle began to fill up with tour groups. If you have not booked an excursion in advance, then you can see the castle on your own visit. It's nice that the logistics of visitors' movement is incredibly well organized, it's impossible to get lost! The staff were very friendly, they told me where to go and what was important to see. There is a large parking lot next to the castle, there are cafes, souvenir shops.

A majestic, beautiful castle, a very interesting story, and the photo turns out to be very beautiful! I advise you to take a live guide, or not at all, because an audio guide is darkness. You'll only hear about icons, chairs, and cabinets, but you won't learn anything about the whole story. We listened to several objects from the castle and scored, because it's not interesting to listen to the story about each chair)) There is also a cafe and a hotel on site (in my opinion, of course, it is blasphemy to have a hotel in such a historic building, but this is my personal opinion :)) There is also a souvenir shop inside, if anyone needs it. If you, like us, run to look for a bathroom after arrival, then do not rush to run to the one immediately to the side of the gate. There are several free restrooms inside the castle;) It's just not clear why they decided to make a paid one on the street.

A must-visit place in the Republic of Belarus! A wonderful tour and exposition. But! You need to understand that all this is not the original and has been restored, since 100 years ago there were ruins of the walls - neither the layout, nor the interiors, nor the furnishings have been preserved. But!! The result of the restoration is simply amazing. The interiors have been wonderfully restored and the objects of the exhibition have been selected. You definitely need to take an excursion - you won 't understand a damn thing !

An interesting castle with a rich history. The tour will tell you all the stages. There are a lot of exhibits: from costumes and armor of the 15th century, to photos of poison gas tests at the beginning of the 20th century and the interior of a woman who escaped from the ghetto during the Great Patriotic War (she was a girl during the war). There is a souvenir shop and a small cafe on the castle grounds (I can't say anything about the kitchen - I haven't tried it).

The castle is interesting and old! Children's delight is caused by the opportunity to "crawl" on the towers There is also a very well maintained area around. We enjoyed walking there for at least three hours! Warning (does not apply to the castle itself): if you are an ordinary tourist, without a group, then you will not have the opportunity to eat in nearby cafes from 11 to 15, they will all be closed for special maintenance, as they feed the tour groups We were unpleasantly surprised by this. And considering that you can only get there by regular bus (if not by car), which runs twice a day, then you can only survive on buns bought at the grocery store...(

A great impression of visiting the Mir Castle, everything is very decently restored. There is a large exposition inside the castle, as well as you can climb the narrow stairs to the towers and plunge into the Middle Ages in a straight line. Inexpensive individual and general excursions, a cafe and a hotel, and a costumed performance on the weekend in the courtyard of the castle. Parking is tight on weekends. Moreover, it is worth visiting it, because it is one of the gems of Belarusian history.

A must-visit place: history, beauty, emotions, impressions - you will get all this by visiting the castle. 1. It is better to arrive early to avoid a lot of people at lunchtime. 2. After buying a full ticket with a visit to 4 locations, the easiest way is to divide them into 2 trips, with a lunch break to take a break from the constant ascents and descents into the towers. 3. There is a wonderful restaurant on the castle grounds where you can go for lunch. 4. Do not forget to go around the castle itself and visit the garden area behind the castle itself, there is also something to see. Everything is fine, 10 out of 10

I got to the castle on my own through the Atlas Beads website. It takes 1 hour and 15 minutes to drive from Minsk. I didn't know what time to leave for a long time. I must say right away it took 1.5 - 2 hours to inspect the castle. A maximum of three with a cafe, a souvenir and a walk around the lake. 1.5 hours inside the castle at a very leisurely pace, I even returned to some rooms to listen to the guides and examine the trellises, the ticket is 22 Belarusian rubles. At first, I examined the castle's rooms, successfully joined the tour, so the history of the owners became clear. I looked at the War Ghetto exhibition, and it turns out that in the 30s and 40s there was a center for Torah studies in the village of Mir, and 2,900 Jews died here during the war. Then I went and looked at the prison, the towers and the galleries. They're all the same, empty with steep steps, so I went up to the most interesting ones. Prison 1 is a room with shackles, so-so. There is a cafe and a restaurant in the courtyard. I drank kvass and looked at souvenirs in the shop.I walked around the lake, went into the tomb, went out the gate and bought plums from a boy. And I waited for the bus for another hour.

If you are looking for a location for beautiful shots, Mir Castle is perfect. From any angle, it looks like an illustration from a medieval fairy tale: battlements, towers, reflections in the water. The interior is also full of photogenic corners: arched passageways, antique fireplaces, display cases with armor. The light in the halls is soft, so the pictures are atmospheric even on the phone. Plus: there are almost no random objects on the territory, because each element complements the historical image. Definitely recommend it for a photo shoot!

The castle has been transformed in recent years! We got to see a great performance from the reenactors! The main exhibit is accessible to all visitors, but the prison and the towers have steep descents and ascents in narrow spaces. There is also a well-maintained area around the castle, where it is pleasant to walk) It would be advisable to add combined group tours according to the schedule.

It's a very nice place. You can take a bunch of beautiful photos, walk around, visit the museum inside the castle. It was founded a long time ago, 500 years ago. What you will see is a repeatedly rebuilt, restored and augmented version of the historic building. Nevertheless, it's very nice and atmospheric. There is a souvenir shop and a restaurant. It's not far from Minsk, it's convenient to combine it with a trip, for example, to Brest. If you do not go into details in the museum, then a couple of hours will be enough to visit.

It's a colorful place, very atmospheric. Despite the large number of people, we enjoyed walking around the castle - wandering through the halls, climbing the spiral narrow and steep stairs to the castle towers - and you seemed to plunge into that era) in the courtyard of the castle, a theatrical performance is periodically staged - jousting, and then you can feel the weight of the sword in your hands and take a photo)) I recommend it)

The castle is gorgeous. Very brutal. There are many narrow spiral staircases inside that you can climb. Including the towers themselves. There are audio guides, take them, walk and listen at your own pace. Basically, there are information stands in every room, those who don't want to listen can read. You can get basic information on them. On the downside: there is a cafe in the castle itself, but it is very small. There's not enough for everyone. There is also a restaurant, but the situation is reversed: there is a lot of space, but few people want to, due to the very high prices. But the issue is solved by different snack bars, which are located opposite the castle across the street. So in terms of food, the castle is clearly losing customers. I would expand the cafe area in order to reduce these losses. As it is, everything is very cool.

Hello, we came to Belarus not so long ago and visited Mir Castle. The place is very beautiful, the castle is beautiful, we liked everything, especially the stairs in the towers. On each level there is something to see, antique weapons, photographs of those times, luxurious large halls where you can take pictures and more. Words cannot convey, we must come and watch. We also liked the souvenir shop, and we bought souvenirs as a keepsake. We also went to the restaurant located in the castle, it's beautiful and atmospheric. The waiters are cultured and friendly, they accompany you to a table and help you choose a menu. The food is delicious and pleasant, and the dishes are served in beautiful cast-iron pots that you want to take with you as a souvenir. In general, the executioner of the dishes is very beautiful, the waiting time will not keep you waiting long. Come enjoy, watch and travel.

The castle was visited with an excursion. There's a lot to see here. The territory is large, you can walk outside and inside the castle for a long time. It is better to do this not at a gallop, but slowly. Then you can feel this place. From the shore of the pond there are picturesque views of the World and the castle. The tour included a visit to the castle itself, the basement and the tower. I liked everything very much, although almost everything inside has been restored, as it was lost in different years.

Mir Castle is a real fairy tale, brought to life among the centuries—old parks and quiet ponds! It takes your breath away at first glance: powerful red walls, majestic towers, elegant basement gallery — every detail breathes history and nobility. Inside, you can fully immerse yourself in the era: authentic interiors, knight's armor, tiled stoves, and "comfortable" tower steps) But the view from them is beautiful: green hills, the mirrored surface of the lake — I want to stand and admire endlessly! Many thanks to the restorers who preserved this pearl! A delight that will remain in your heart forever!

It's a very beautiful and interesting place. If there are no excursions, but just a walk around the castle, then you can do it in 2-3 hours. The stairs are very narrow and very steep, almost vertical, so if you have problems with claustrophobia and are healthy, then it's better not to climb into the towers. After the tour, you can rest on the "benches" at the entrance to the castle and go to eat, there is a la food court nearby. According to the reviews, we went to a "cafe" and ate. The shawarma was very good and satisfying, the bottled kvass was just super, and the cooler was a bomb, considering that the temperature outside was below 30 degrees. If you decided to take a ride through the cities of Belarus and did not stop by this castle, then you should have come to Belarus.

We visited the castle in July 2026 on the way from Minsk to Brest. There is a lot to see both on the castle grounds and outside its walls. I was particularly impressed by the castle's prison: I immediately imagine how the chained prisoners were kept in this small room -dark, damp, and cold. There is a cafe and a restaurant on site where you can have lunch, we were at the Princely Courtyard restaurant, I can't say that we really liked the food, rather not bad than very tasty. Outside the castle, we entered the chapel-tomb of Svyatopolk-Mirsky. I also liked the park area and the pond located near the castle walls. The inspection should take about 1.5-2 hours, it should be borne in mind that there are fewer people in the morning, after 12-13 there are queues and small congestion on the stairs.
