OMG, the service is unbelievably bad. The staff act like they’re trying to punish the clients for something, all smiles, but rude and dishonest. For these prices, it’s completely unacceptable. We gave it two chances, two days in a row, first time was okay, the second was a disaster. Both times with a 300 lari bill, there definitely won’t be a third.

Stylish restaurant at the theater. Interesting interior, soft good music. We came here because we were waiting for the puppet show, which takes place here every day at 12.00 and 19.00. We arrived 30 minutes before the performance and decided to come in just for a cup of tea. The waiter suggested that we try their signature donuts as well. We agreed - they were really delicious. I would like to mention the work of the male waiter who served us. He spoke excellent Russian and was the most friendly person we met in Tbilisi. He chatted with us, told us something, advised us and was very attentive not only to us, but also to other guests. A pot of tea and 2 donuts cost about 1,500 rubles)))

It's a very pleasant and delicious place. It's nice that there is a menu in Russian. Polite and young waiters. We liked the kitchen. We took both an appetizer from Georgian cuisine and a main course from European cuisine. Fast serving, no complaints about the taste of the dishes. We especially want to mention tea (brewed, not from a tea bag at last!). And incredibly delicious desserts: zebra (as in childhood) and the famous Tbilisi donut with custard.

Gabriadze Cafe in Tbilisi is not just a cafe or even a restaurant. This is an incredible restaurant, an art object in which every corner lives its own little story. There are places where you come to eat. There are places where you come for the atmosphere. And there is the Gabriadze Cafe, where you come as if inside the art world. It's impossible to just sit down at a table and open the menu mechanically, because at first you start looking at everything around you: walls, lights, ceramics, drawings, tables, dolls, inscriptions, details that seem random only for the first five seconds, and then you realize — no, there's nothing random at all. The cafe is located next to the Rezo Gabriadze Marionette Theater, and therefore the puppet theme is absolutely natural here. Gabriadze is not just an artist, but the creator of a whole poetic universe: theatrical, cinematic, ceramic, a little fabulous, a little sad, very human. And the cafe continues this universe. He does not imitate or decorate himself "in style", but rather lives in the same coordinate system. I was particularly impressed by the tables hand-painted by Gabriadze himself. This is a separate delight. Each table is like a small painting, like a fragment of memory, like an object that you want to look at before a meal, during a meal and after a meal. And there is a special table with iconic phrases from the movie "Mimino" — and it's just a delight of delights. There is even Larisa Ivanovna's phone number, which, as I understand it, the guests periodically try to call. Well, what about it? What if he answers? 🤣 And this is a very Tbilisi feeling: high culture, subtle humor, cinema, theater, wine, food, memory, art — everything is brought together, but not heavy, not museum-like, not "look how big we are", but lively, warm and with a smile. The food is very tasty. I ordered softened — it's softened, not melted! — suluguni in grape leaves with berry sauce. It was a very subtle combination: cheese, leaf, slight sourness, sweetness, texture, aroma. The dish seems simple in idea, but it feels very accurate. There were also eggplants with cheese and nut filling. I almost always order eggplant in Georgian restaurants, and God himself ordered it in Tbilisi. For me, this is one of those markers by which you quickly understand the cuisine: how neatly the filling is assembled, how balanced the nut is, how the eggplant feels, whether there is a depth of taste or just "done because it is necessary." Everything was fine here. And a separate love is wine. I asked the sommelier to suggest something unusual, and he got not just into the top ten, but into 100 out of 10. It was a divine semi—sweet, golden-colored raisin wine - one that you don't just drink, but remember as a separate small event. It is a very rare case when the sommelier's recommendation is not formal, but really accurate: the person heard the request and found a hit in the condition. The service is excellent: hospitable, attentive, but not intrusive. I really appreciate this balance. When you are taken care of, but not invaded. When everything happens calmly, gently, with dignity, without fuss and without the feeling that you are being served according to the script. The atmosphere is amazing. I would call it an atmosphere of authenticity and quiet luxury. Not ostentatious, not glossy, not about "expensive-rich", but about cultural depth, taste, history and attention to detail. Despite the crowds of tourists outside and inside — while I was sitting, the guides brought three guided tours to the restaurant — there is still a calm, measured vibe inside. And this is amazing: the place has clearly become a tourist magnet, but it has not lost its inner silence. For those who come to Tbilisi, the Gabriadze Cafe is definitely a must-have. Not just for the food, although the food is delicious. Not just for the sake of wine, although wine can be a separate experience. And for the sake of the experience itself: to sit inside Gabriadze's world, look at the painted tables, smile at Larisa Ivanovna's phone, feel the puppet poetry, Tbilisi hospitality and that very rare atmosphere where art does not hang on the walls, but lives right around you. A very beautiful, lively, smart and real place. You definitely won't regret it.

You go downstairs and find yourself in a museum—cafe full of author's artifacts from Rezo Gabriadze himself, but most importantly - famous quotes from good old movies on the tables. The atmosphere is absolutely unique, like you won't find anywhere else. It's like being transported back to a time when everything was simpler, calmer, and people smiled more often. The staff is very warm. The cuisine is an excellent Georgian classic.

I visited the cafe for the first time after the performance, and ordered cream doughnuts on the recommendation of friends. The cream is delicious, the donut is huge, and there are two more. And the second time I went to have lunch the next day. Everything was inhospitable (let's call it that). I was the only customer. The waitress spoke Russian, but for some reason she changed to an English-speaking guy. Not a problem. I ordered it. About 5 waiters were watching my lunch)))) As a result, in the evening there is a high fever, abdominal pain and vomiting. I was poisoned, apparently, by dolma (Only she flew out of me). I got off easy. Everything is already fine. Thank you, Cafe Gabriadze: I finally lost my appetite, because with this delicious Georgian cuisine, I started gaining weight on vacation. I do not recommend dining at the Gabriadze cafe to anyone. There are plenty of others nearby. And donuts come across unpeeled - ruddy on top, then you get a raw dough that smoothly turns into cream. But the cream is delicious))
